So if you read that link and scroll down to the bottom of the page it says this
Effective October 13th, 2020, Office 365 will only allow Office client connectivity from subscription clients (Office 365 ProPlus), or Office perpetual clients within mainstream support, to connect to Office 365 services. See the Microsoft Support Lifecycle Policy site for Office mainstream support dates.
From how most people understand, Office 2016 Mainframe support ends the same date, which means that unless you have O365 Premium (to download the new version) or w/e the new office version is 2018 or 2019 you will lose access to O365 emails from Outlook 2010/2013/2016 in October 2020.
We are currently upgrading PCs and going to Office 2016, this really sucks if it's true and we might change to Gapps
