That was me. Until I finally settled on a CC/tanker, CC/healer/spells, dagger rogue and archer. Dagger guy started out kinda useless but became my enemy caster/archer killer

The fights in 2 are a little bit harder because of physical and magic armor preventing you from CCing right off the bat

The armor makes CCing a bit trickier in this game, since you can't just have an archer CCing every enemy group before they can move anymore. But there's a lot of new, really strong skill combinations, so you can also put out a lot more raw damage than in the first game.

Mages become infinitely stronger once you discover Impalement > Fireball > Spontaneous Combustion. Same thing for Knights and Rage > Battering Ram > Whirlwind > Crippling Blow

Story was bad in the first one, but the freedom you had to do anything you wanted was incredible. Absolutely loved it. I've already backed the kickstarter and will be playing 4 player co-ompetitive day fucking one.

As much as I want to play this day 1, I've got too much on my plate atm so I put this up on wishlist to notify me when a sale goes on. With any luck it'll be before end of year, I can wait and save a few bucks

Undead reveal



Instead of being a race, it's more like a modifier. You can be an undead human, an undead lizard, and undead dwarf or an undead elf. Some of the racial abilities carry over; undead elves still have Corpse Eater.

All undead can pick locks with their fingers instead of using tools and have the Zombie trait from DOS1 (healed by poison, damaged by healing). Also have a 'Play Dead' ability that forces enemies to ignore you and ends combat if no other visible allies nearby. Will probably be really good for soloing and speed runs.

You can kill people and tear their faces off (!), then disguise yourself as them.

So is split screen couch coop available when you get more characters in your party in the main story?

It should be. You get Red Prince pretty much right after the boat part and then can get everyone else. Little annoying but somewhat minute change they did is that if a party member ISN'T in your group when you acquire them, they will auto-allocate points to shit. Should try to avoid any xp gains to stay at lvl 1 until you can get the team you want. That way you can fully customize their civil and battle points. It's not a huge deal but still a little annoying early on, I think

Having never played one of these games before, is it okay to jump into OSin2? Or should I play OSin1 first?

You do not need to play the last one. The storylines are seperated by 1200 years so there's very little connection outside of references or easter eggs.

I'm enjoying it. More spells, challenging battles so far on act 1. Good customization. If you liked the first one this one does everything and more. Little tip if you recruit Ifan, he comes with the Pet Pal talent. I started over so I didn't have 2 people with it cuz it seemed pointless

A friend and I played the GOG version for a few hours yesterday. When we tried starting the game up today, though, both of us were getting errors every time we tried to enable direct connection. Did they change something?

So you can respec yourself and all your companions at the very beginning of Act 2. That gives you a way to fix the wasted auto-levelled points and talents without having to start over
