Still hunkered down here with no power. Good times, i also forgot to take down my tiny bear wind chime, but it's still holding on.

Over 2 million customers without power
BREAKING: Center of Hurricane #Irma made landfall in Marco Island at 3:35pm ET as a Category 3 hurricane.
BREAKING: Tampa mayor declares indefinite curfew in Florida city starting at 6 p.m. Sunday.
2 cranes in Miami have collapsed
Wind gust of 135 mph reported at Naples Airport, highest wind gust reported in Florida from #Irma so far
Turns out my Nephew did leave Naples/Ft Meyers, wasn't as dumb as I thought.
As for me around Atlanta, GA; Hunkering down here. I had to haul anything flingable into shelter; We are going to get the remnants of Irma (we've been advised to make sure nothing outside can get flung); we got bottled water and some lunchmeat (we had plenty of bread already) in case the power goes out and we can't cook, even with my brother's camp stove. (This is a electric house.) Hopefully we don't get any trees on us either; we live in teh woods, but nothing I can do about trees. Oh and don't sneer; I remember last time a hurricane hit Florida, we got some nasty storms for a couple days. They're predicting 60 mile a hour winds; I ain't underestimating that.
Also schools are closed around here for the next three days. They're just panicky there.
Since part of that was water barrels, I'm getting a pump after in case of more storms. I thought we didn't have one; well, I was right. If we'd had one, I'd of filled'em and left them outside. (Those suckers weigh about 200 pounds or so full..)
Looks like Marathon is mostly underwater.
Tree feel down and is blocking road down from the inlaws, fortunately it's a circle and the other half is fine. One tall palm tree was leaning on the house but hanging on and resting. I wanted to leave it up cause the two tiles it broke are worth much less than replacing an entire tree...but the redneck army in the neighborhood are bored and convinced them to take it down before it somehow defies physics and does a ground pound from a resting position. Now the ground is fucked up from the roots and the mother in laws favorite plant by her walkway is ruined. Ain't even mad =/.

Already seeing videos on the local news stations in south Florida showing looters. Mostly hitting up sporting goods stores and Footlockers stealing shoes. Motherfuckers out there risking life and freedom for some Jordans smh
So FSU campus opened up their parking garages to the public for anyone seeking shelter from Irma, a local car dealership decided to take them up on this and moved their entire lot in. People noticed and started roasting them on FB hard. What dicks.

A construction crane has come down in Ft. Lauderdale
Seems like a huge oversight to not take down the crane in preparation for the hurricane. It's not like we havnt know about the fucking thing for a week now.
