Phantasm is often overlooked because of its lack of elemental affinity, but always does above 6k dmg per cast.

Edge's lvl 99 RM does work with all ninja abilities. Phantasm will provide solid DPS.

Yeah, phantasm should actually better on a 50% vuln than veils, just more expensive and doesn't get gear bonus, the +2 uses that the veils have or weakness meter bonus (and if you're using scholars boon or element RMs, obviously doesn't get the bonus from those either). In practice those are mostly minor disadvantages so phantasm's very good and flexible.

Really starting to regret not taking Cid Raine's BSB from the choice banner. Almost every strat I see for Holy/Dark magicite uses it.

I'd stick him in the back row and give him wrath instead of LS. It'll generate more SB gauge.

I finally figured out a sub-30 setup for shadow dragon.

It's not a very consistent setup though. I've only done it twice with a ton of S/Ls to get it. It's a pretty similar setup to my mist dragon setup but I subbed in Yuna for her USB.

Finally cleared Fire Magicite at 1:29.~, snagged Liquid Flame and Mom Bomb as rewards. Had Fujin powered up with Deployment Tactics, Faith, and Mog's BSB and using Phantasm/Water Veil for damage. So glad to be done with that one since now I can start Light/Dark Dungeons.

LOL I was able to force Dark damage on Bismark and Fenrir to finish up the first 6; all sub 1-min, at that. Raines BSB/OSB + Nabaat BSB is just so strong. Ended up forcing Dark damage on Water/Wind/Earth, and probably could have done the rest if I didn't have Bartz's BSB2/3 and USB.

Ran out of shards after taking down Mist Dragon with ease, and I presume Dark will go down just as easily by switching out Nabaat with Beatrix and once I get use to how that fight flows. Man, to think I was slightly disappointed when I pulled Raines's OSB/BSB + Nabaats BSB and did not get Lightning's USB, but it has sure saved my ass now.

Downed Liquid Flame thanks to khimari BSB and Bartz USB/OSB (held off attempting till I R3'd Engulfing Twinstrike), and now I've unlocked Holy/Dark Magicite!

Also downed Mist Dragon by using my standard noctis/ramza/sazh/ysh team with my main DD being Sephiroth spamming SSB2. Both fights were barely sub 1 min (58 for flame, 52 for Holy).

Gonna try Shadow with same setup except using T.G. Cid OSB and using curaise strat.

Man, I wish I'd pulled Cid Raines OSB. I just have his BSB, and while that's great, it makes it hard to sub 30 shit without the output from his OSB. Lowest I've gone so far is like 45 on Mist and 36 on Shadow.

Bismarck doesn't do anything too weird; lots of mixed element aoe damage, as well as physical aoe lunge. I hate lunge. Just bring lightning damage and a healer and you should be set.

This is my setup:



For Magicite, I use Hydra (65), Humbaba (82), Enkidu (92), Enlil (99), and Wendigo (80).

It certainly isn't fast, but always gets the job done under 60. OK BSB/ninja spells/magicite, Lightning open with RW/LS/BSB2 (spam LS/BSB2 combo until mob is triple weak; Hydra helps with this), Ysh' opens with Pulse and then sticks to BSB, Shantotto BSB, and Ashe BSB (noticed you don't have it). Could possibly sub in someone else with en-element (like Desch) with some ability tweaking. I save Chain Thundaga and Valigarmanda for after BSB is fired off (for enthunder boost), then CMD 1 after I run out of Valigarmandas; I have never run out of Chain Thundaga. Recast BSB when available. Hope this helps.

@rata Raijin + Desch for Dps, with hydra magicite.
Pretty much everything Bismarck does is Aoe phy or magic so plan accordingly. (I needed to healers in the beginning until I got better magicite)
