Having trouble with Quetz. I've gotten to the point where I am surviving alright, but I feel like I should be able to Sub 30 and can't quite do it. Best run is about 40% HP at 36 seconds.

Magicite: 2x Dampen Lightning, 2x Dampen Wind, Blade Ward, 3x Earth Boost, Standard Evrae.
SB's: Bartz USB1/2 + Arcane, Cinque USB + BSB, Red USB + Chain, OK pUSB, Relm USB + BSB

On the bench:
TG Cid - USB, OSB, Dived (would need a 2nd copy of Earth Saber)
Tifa - Arcane, BSB1/2, No Dive (Would need to invest in the earth Monk skills)

Bartz is capping spellblade hits while under chain, so I may just ditch OK for Cid and rely on Red being my support with USB/Chain.

On magicite? Wouldn't a 4th earth boost only get me 1% damage?

Okay, cant figure this out and I'm getting blasted for 6k damage at around 30% even with buffs up.

Dived Tifa, swapped out OK, and I fear Red is doing too much.

You should main Earth Guardian. That'll help.

The double stack imperil is really doing a number on you. Main Earth Guardian as kuro says. If you're maxing out on turns (10 per phase), Turn 20->21 is back-to-back imperils.

Spell ward is slightly favored over Blade ward.

Imperils happen on Phase 2 turn 1 + Turn 10 and Phase 3 Turn 1 and turn 7. If you can push the phase with an ASB on Phase 2 turn 8/9 you can deal with the damage at the start of phase 3 a bit better. Otherwise it's imperil > res pierce mag > Slot 5 paralyze.

So question, but how is it people have all this inherited stuff already? I only just got my all my Hades magictes - which was my last 4 star - to 99. Now I have to farm up another set for each and grind them up to 99? Plus a bunch of trash to caps the stats first, seems like it'll takes months more of grinding.

Being able to clear all the 4* on launch pretty much made it easy. And knowing what drops, so you can just flee.

Yeah, if you were able to farm 4 stars when they hit and have hit the weeklys then you should have tons of everything by now.

If you absolutely have to, magic breakdown is actually pretty strong vs the piercing attacks - -14% (much worse vs non piercing, but you have shellga and grimoire for that)

Now for KB.

I'm like 1/5th of a SB gauge away from Sub 30ing KB at 25 seconds. Maria ends up thismuch short of being able to IC her ASB and I don't know where to get the meter because Red/OK are tapped out on entrusts the turn before (as in no meter to give) and any attack from KB would make the entrust irrelevant because then Maria would have her ASB ready.

Only thing I can think of is giving her TG Mode RM so she nets and extra turn or two over the course of the fight. but that would nip her +weakness RM.

Attempted Phoenix. OUCH. 50% before dirt naps. I think I'm going to be entrusting Elarra to survive all that damage. Rosa USB is probably best for the fight but alas it's something I lack.

Edit: Cleared but not mastered. Tyro entruster with BSB comes through again. Seesh HP bars were bouncing between full and empty the entire fight.

Cannot take down Phoenix without Aerith and Elarra pulling healing duty for Yuffie and Tide-boy.

I pretty much spammed 2x entrusts on Elarra to survive Phoenix. And that's with OK slotted for Ultra Cure + Entrust
