I'm having major issues as well with Slydra, but I may have found a solution for myself. I've been using: Laguna CSB, Celes USB, Squall USB2/AOSB, Eiko USB, and Elarra USB, which fails to kill due to that stupid high stakes buff. But I remembered I do have Snow's USB/BSB1, so he can rep Celes and I think RS and an extra guts might give me the final push.

I would not run second healer by itself, if it means no chain or imperil - both are really helpful here. I did swap to noel usb1 (?) (imperil) and rosa usb2/glint to make the runs more consistent.

Breakdowns on magis and torments by the way remain fairly good if you can fit them in. Vs piercing attacks they're -15% for the first and total of -28% ish for the second; not as good when breaking def/res or non piercing attacks, but that's always been the case. Cutting a 8k savage thunderstorm to 5800ish means that any heal or block on savage thunderbolt will probably be enough to survive savage aeroja-> savage thunderstorm combo. Fitting that in of course is a challenge...

Yeah, tried it out and saw it adding to chain and was like: "OH NEAT!, This was a good idea!" lol, for some stupid reason, didn't think it would add to chain. Managed to bring her to 40% for High Stakes instead of T30 @ 70%, so I think I can win this now.

Snow USB1 helped A TON in both dmg and racking up the chain. His BSB1 helped survive second round of piercing attacks post High Stakes, which allowed Eiko to recast USB.

First attempt at Deathguise - RIP at phase 3. A crazy DPS race. Bring at least 4x R4 Assault Sabers, a TGC USB, R4/5 Healing Smite, most likely a holy chain, and I don't even know what else at this point.

Divine Cross and Guardbringer aren't needed, it's just filler. Agrias does Magicite then USB the following turn. Marche uses Fabula Raider on turn 1, it hits right after Slowga. TGC uses OSB when he gets bar. Breaks savage mode, which allows Agrias and Marche to do a decent damage with their SB's the next turn. Rosa uses Ultra Cure on Marche to remove blind in phase 3, before her and Ramza die.

EDIT: Realized that I was using Hades in my deck instead of Seraph earlier. It doesn't really matter. Deathgaze doesn't do much damage.
Haven't tried Ark yet, but my holy magic isn't very good. It's just Raines BSB and Minwu USB. Regardless, I need to hone stuff for it anyway before I try.

This is kind of rough, but doable >.> Middle of phase 2 and phase 3 is rough. Doomsday > Savage Eternal Darkness > Savage Doomsday is really rough to deal with, especially back to back. If I could skip the Doomsday in phase 2, it'd be fine, but I haven't been able to. Savage Eternal Darkness triggers last stand on everyone, then Savage Doomsday does also. So it's kind of a race at that point. Ramza entrusts Aerith 1/2 bar at some point.

In the same boat here. Fortunately, I was able to skip chupon and continue around the elemental circle - since Cloud/Zack/Zidane were able to do Hecatonchair without the wind magicite.

Also having issues with Holy magicites.

Madeen I can win... about 1 in 6 attempts. One more for a level 99, then Deathgaze should be a pushover, already able to get him to a sliver of remaining health before doom kills folks.

Lakshmi... I just cant seem to damage fast enough to skip the debuffs, not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Dark Cloud, Full Seph, and Gen2 dark chain should be enough... but I cant keep everyone awake.

Re: Unicorn - yes, but 50% of the time it absorbs the lightning move that comes directly before (forgot the name... and I'm at work...).

Re: Affliction Break - I will try this - I'm also reading that you can escape Deathgaze's various Dooms with Affliction Break too... looks like Ill be working on this tonight.


Edit: Affliction Break completely negated all the 5-sec-Doom shenanigans from Deathgaze. 27.xx sec kill Almost felt like cheating...
