If you are a Texas A&M fan I don't see how you can't be embarrassed over the last few days. First, Tim Brewster posted this on Twitter:

To which summoned the wrath of Jalen Ramsey with this:

And then yesterday:

Brew gonna Brew.
So apparently any fair catch called within the 25 yard line will now be placed at the 25.
Dumbest. Fucking. Rule. Ever.
Why even kick off anymore? Just start on the 25 after every TD or FG.
"Safety of players" I'm guessing is their rationale, but yeah, if I'm the coach I'm never letting my players attempt to run it out unless it's at the end of the game and the clock is about to expire.
Aren't kickoffs the highest % chance of injury in football?
All it's affecting are perfect sky kickoffs close to the endzone. Anything further and you can take your chances running it out and getting past the 25 anyway
In a perfect world we wouldn't need it but I prefer a safer version of football to no football Yep. Those collisions are usually how guys get spinal injuries

This is precisely the point. It does take some of the "fun" out of kickoffs, but it probably is a good middle ground between leaving it alone and removing it entirely. So now, 95% of the time people will leave it alone and just fair catch it. But that 5% will still be exciting because somebody either is running it out because they HAVE to take the chance, or there's an onside kick.
