    From what i've gleaned a dancer debuff has to be reapplied every 2 rounds while a regular break has to be applied every 3 rounds. So while I love my dancer debuffs it's going to be especially important to have your hones up for those and they make it difficult for a dancer to switch to another action like an SB.

    I'm not a fan of dancer breaks simply because they deal no dmg

    I only use Multi Break for multi bosses

    Cool. I snagged both of those DNC abilities, and just created the MultiBreak ability.
    I have Rikku to 50 with the Machinations BSB, but I also have Tyro at level 80 who can use these abilities also.

    Edit: Well, I'll have them in my bag in case I have use fo rthem.

    I do have Magic Break, Armor Break, Power Break, and Mental Break at R5.
    I'll work on getting Power Breakdown, Armor Breakdown, Mental Breakdown, Magic Breakdown, and Mind Breakdown to R5 also.
    I seem to be lacking in Power Orbs at the moment, so it'll take some time.

    I would aim for R3 breakdowns and R2 fullbreak.

    R4 is a luxury, and while they should be one of the few worthwhile 4* abilities to R5 eventually, R3 will serve you well for a very long time.

    I did the same thing for the 4* dances, focusing on Magic and Attack breakdowns, but R2/3 Multi Break is not an urgent need...R2+ Full Break is.

    fully agree on hone levels, i lived off an R2 full break for a very long time and it's extremely rare i ever need more than 4 uses. i think i only R3'ed it for one of the original torment dungeons and it wasn't even needed there.

    R2 on multi/full break and R3 on your breakdowns (prioritize power and magic for sure) will be enough to get through most content.

    Fullbreak/Breakdowns should last long enough without duration boosts to do Break 1 -> Break 2 -> Another Action -> Break 1 without any of them falling off.

    You also have orb exchange which - along with application of copious gil - lets you turn low rank orbs into high orbs. Realms also give orbs; we eventually get a dungeon update which increases the rewards but I think you could use the stuff now.

    Dancer abilities cannot be countered as well, they're amazing to break bosses that have nasty counters (and there's no equivalent for the new ones other than specific SBs).

    Yeah, weirdly I've been using a ton of multibreak recently. The damage from full break is a lot less relevant nowadays with general powercreep.
