I have been doing 90's just because i can t2 them, but that brings up the good point of what you mention with the 70kits you can t3 them maybe they are better?

Spamming 90s is better if you can afford or have easy access to the mats. It works out to be an average of about 70 vs. an average of about 65 crafting points per crystal doing 70s.
I think that Byrthnoth broke the math of it down around the time of the first shields.
With that said, if you have the spare guild points, oftentimes the level 70 stuff is available in unlimited supply while the level 90 stuff requires a friendly auction house or a great deal of preparation, so going for the level 70/71s might be a better return on your non-guildpoint investments.
BG DOUBLES DOUBLES ARE BACK!
yeah my question was if mats are of no concern and you are trying to maximize GP to Crafter points.
Here's the original post where Byrth looked at craft set values:
https://www.bluegartr.com/threads/12...=1#post6865395
I can't get the math to come out to the same numbers, may be able to correct me somewhere but I'm looking at:
50% HQ Rate for 25 to 70 kits
25% HQ Rate for 75 to 90 kits
6.25% HQ Rate for 95 kits
12:3:1 HQ1:HQ2:HQ3 split once an hq has been rolled
71.5 (65~78)% of kit level as NQ turn-in value, +30% for HQ1, +50% for HQ2, +75% for HQ3
90 is peak, 70 beats 75, otherwise it's in order all the way down.Code:Level HQRATE NQpts NQRate HQ1pts HQ1Rate HQ2pts HQ2Rate HQ3pts HQ3Rate AvgPts 25 0.5000 17.8750 0.5000 23.2375 0.3750 26.8125 0.0938 31.2813 0.0313 21.1428 30 0.5000 21.4500 0.5000 27.8850 0.3750 32.1750 0.0938 37.5375 0.0313 25.3713 35 0.5000 25.0250 0.5000 32.5325 0.3750 37.5375 0.0938 43.7938 0.0313 29.5999 40 0.5000 28.6000 0.5000 37.1800 0.3750 42.9000 0.0938 50.0500 0.0313 33.8284 45 0.5000 32.1750 0.5000 41.8275 0.3750 48.2625 0.0938 56.3063 0.0313 38.0570 50 0.5000 35.7500 0.5000 46.4750 0.3750 53.6250 0.0938 62.5625 0.0313 42.2855 55 0.5000 39.3250 0.5000 51.1225 0.3750 58.9875 0.0938 68.8188 0.0313 46.5141 60 0.5000 42.9000 0.5000 55.7700 0.3750 64.3500 0.0938 75.0750 0.0313 50.7427 65 0.5000 46.4750 0.5000 60.4175 0.3750 69.7125 0.0938 81.3313 0.0313 54.9712 70 0.5000 50.0500 0.5000 65.0650 0.3750 75.0750 0.0938 87.5875 0.0313 59.1998 75 0.2500 53.6250 0.7500 69.7125 0.1875 80.4375 0.0469 93.8438 0.0156 58.5267 80 0.2500 57.2000 0.7500 74.3600 0.1875 85.8000 0.0469 100.100 0.0156 62.4284 85 0.2500 60.7750 0.7500 79.0075 0.1875 91.1625 0.0469 106.356 0.0156 66.3302 90 0.2500 64.3500 0.7500 83.6550 0.1875 96.5250 0.0469 112.612 0.0156 70.2320 95 0.0625 67.9250 0.9375 88.3025 0.0469 101.887 0.0117 118.868 0.0039 69.4772
Order doesn't change if you add a flat 4-5% to hq rate (ring[s] and rusk), though point values go up about 0.3% per extra HQ
Yeah, looking back at his old post, I was *definitely* not getting averages that matched what he has, and my math comes out about the same as yours does... and my experience is pretty close to it, too.
Depends, personally I do set 90s for Alchemy since spamming 45s eats up twice as many guild points despite costing me many millions of gil in bloods, roots, and lost income from sparks. If you have patience and time just spam 45s while getting more guild points.
Cooking 90 is super easy if you can afk fish up some turtles.
I would do set 85 for Clothcraft honestly. 90 is fine, but 85 is so much easier for fewer mats consumed. 10 minutes in abyssea grauberg getting Djinn ash makes many stacks of carbon fiber since I can HQ them with alchemy. Sub alchemists can still make them easily too.
Leathercraft, I could see doing 85 there again and just buying your way through it.
Those are my 4 crafts.
These two also work if someone can add them
Beryl Memosphere - wind - haven't farmed any and the one I had on a mule broke
Magicked Steel Ingot - lightning - Gravitation - Scission - light/dark?
Not worth doing when fetich head has the same. Mobs that drop them are spread out and pediawiki says 12 minute respawn.
Ffxi Database only had Oldton dropping. pediawiki also has Newton but Database might be right.
Anyone have luck on their Transmutation bar moving?
Siding with ffxidb over clopedia is probably the right move nearly always.
I am updating any BG pages for these items as they come up. Let it be known if ours are lacking anywhere, and respawns may simply be added into the notes section of the mob tables on pages by anyone, I never bother with them.
At any rate it looks like any memospheres are usable as we already had indigo on there. Hopefully they are all the same synth so it simplifies the table. Any larger and it is going to be split into light and dark synths on each side of the page like the stage 3 contracts.
Wind crystal - Carbuncles Ruby
Zi'tah and the Oubliette have a bunch but in 200+ leeches I had four drops and all broke. Drop rate is very bad.
Wind - Orcish Mail Scales - King Ranperre's ding bats from 18:00 to 6:00 that may share slots with other mobs so I killed everything in that area. Compression - Gravitation
Lightning - Shoalweed - Detonation
Dumped another 1000 spirit. No movement.
Dang. I'm out of motivation to farm again for now. Pick back up in a few days. That's over 2000 and nothing doing. It takes a long damn time to get a significant amount with all the breaks. I really thought to myself, "if it's ever going to move, this should do it."
But.. nope. Still speculating a 33/33/33 progression path with the bar not moving in between milestones but I've yet to reach the first one under that assumption. Could be 10k spirit, and maybe I'll see the first movement around 3k.. Guess I'll find out soon.
Gonna go out on a limb here and bet there isn't a bug. That our bars aren't moving because we haven't actually made the right sort of progress.
Who here has actually gotten the light to go from blue to green and then a third time to whatever that light might be on the Focuser II?
E.g. here is a video of it happening twice:
I saw that earlier and repeated what that person did, but it didn't change color. I wonder how many points they're at or what is the game keeping track of.
My hope of another upgrade stage is dead. In the JP summary for FP35, they call this stage the "final form" of escutcheons. T_T
Serious head-scratcher as to why this is the first time they used "final" instead of "next", but as I have no faith in the official English summaries, I'd say this is a definite.
Mewk Chorosap : Why hello there, my leathercraft expert. What is the prrroblem?
Mewk Chorosap : Ahh, I see you managed to obtain the craftsman's crystal: leathercraft. Excellent work, my frrriend.
Mewk Chorosap : Now, it's time to explain how to perrrform the activation.
Mewk Chorosap : In order to activate the craftsman's crystal: leathercraft, you must firrrst imbue it with your craftsman's spirit to previously unimaginable levels.
Mewk Chorosap : Using the regular methods, you'd need to craft with it several million times, but that isn't very rrrealistic, now is it?
Mewk Chorosap : That is why I've crrreated a special device to help assist with the crafting process.
Mewk Chorosap : Using this ‡²synthesis focuser‡³ during your crafting sessions will help boost your spirit and imbue it within your craftsman's crystal: leathercraft.
Mewk Chorosap : You just need to simply flip the switch and begin crafting, although some prrreparations are necessary.
Mewk Chorosap : You'll need to place the craftsman's crystal: leathercraft inside the synthesis focuser, along with the crystal, crafting sphere, and catalyst needed for the crafting process.
Mewk Chorosap : For the crystal, please note that you cannot use the high-quality crystals or analysis crystals used for the engraving prrrocess.
Mewk Chorosap : I'm going to place the craftsman's crystal: leathercraft within the synthesis focuser for now.
Mewk Chorosap : Once the materials are set, you can begin the crafting process.
Mewk Chorosap : If everything goes as planned, it will infuse your craftsman's crystal: leathercraft with a large amount of spirit. Once a sufficient amount has been trrransferred, it will activate the craftsman's crystal: leathercraft.
Mewk Chorosap : Did you manage to comprrrehend all that? If so, then I shall continue...
Mewk Chorosap : With this parrrticular kind of crafting, you're also able to form ‡²links‡³ while crafting!
Mewk Chorosap : I like to call this type of link a ‡²craftchain‡³. I know... I know... It's nothing fancy. Mwahaha.
Mewk Chorosap : You alrrready know about the skillchains that you use in battle. This is kind of like that.
Mewk Chorosap : The skillchain is triggered when you select the appropriate weapon skills with the proper timing, right?
Mewk Chorosap : A craftchain is triggered when you use the proper crafting sphere and catalyst, also with the proper timing.
Mewk Chorosap : Once the craftchain is triggered, it will boost your spirit by an even greater amount. You really want to use them if at all possible.
Mewk Chorosap : Now, allow me to explain about the crafting spheres that I mentioned prrreviously..
Mewk Chorosap : Crafting spheres are a type of material that are intricately linked with crystals and craftchains.
Mewk Chorosap : This'll prrrobably go faster if I just show you one.
Mewk Chorosap : This is what we call a liquefaction sphere.
Mewk Chorosap : And since Liquefaction includes a fire elemental, you will need to use a fire crystal.
Mewk Chorosap : Be sure to keep one thing in mind. If you use a crystal that doesn't match the element, the synthesis is guaranteed to fail.
Mewk Chorosap : There are 14 types of crafting sphere in all, the same number as the skillchains, with the exception of the Ultimate Skillchains of courrrse.
Mewk Chorosap : However, you will need to learrrn the linking procedure for yourself.
Mewk Chorosap : Now I will explain about the other material in the prrrocess...the catalyst.
Mewk Chorosap : The catalyst is a material that has a grrreat effect on the success of your craftchain.
Mewk Chorosap : You already know how skillchains have levels, rrright?
Mewk Chorosap : Craftchains also have levels, and you will need to use a catalyst that matches the element of the crafting sphere.
Mewk Chorosap : I have here an example of a catalyst. It comes from the Inventors' Coalition's verrry own MC-I-SR0 series!
Mewk Chorosap : The linking process has thrrree levels, just like with skillchains. Depending on the crafting sphere you use, the catalyst will be selected automatically.
Mewk Chorosap : Now I'd like to explain crafting failures in a bit more detail.
Mewk Chorosap : If your combination of crystal, crafting sphere, and catalyst are incorrect, the synthesis is guarrranteed to fail.
Mewk Chorosap : And if it fails, you will lose the crystal, crafting sphere, and catalyst you used.
Mewk Chorosap : Additionally, you will also lose some of the spirit stored within your craftsman's crystal: leathercraft.
Mewk Chorosap : There are some conditions for losing your ‡²spirit.‡³
Mewk Chorosap : The Synthesis Focuser II will become unstable if certain things are done repeatedly.
Mewk Chorosap : Those ‡²certain things‡³ are continuing to use the same crystal and continuing to do the same chain.
Mewk Chorosap : If it remains unstable for too long, the Synthesis Focuser II may explode if or when the synthesis failures, meaning the you are more likely to lose some of your spirit.
Mewk Chorosap : Stability is restored over time or by increasing the level of your chain.
Mewk Chorosap : An explosion will also restore stability to the focuser, although I highly reccommend you do not take this route.
Mewk Chorosap : The Stability gauge displays the focuser's current stability.
Mewk Chorosap : That will mean much of your hard work will be for naught, so be especially carrreful when selecting your materials.
Mewk Chorosap : I rrrealize this explanation is dragging on a bit, but how's it going? Try to hang in there for just a little bit longer.
Mewk Chorosap : Now I want to explain how to obtain the materials you'll rrrequire.
Mewk Chorosap : You can get the MC-I-SR0 series catalyst from me, for the rrright price of course...
Mewk Chorosap : The cost of manufacturing is rather high for this particular catalyst, so I got an earful from the coalition's accountant after I made it in bulk.
Mewk Chorosap : If I don't turn a profit, it will adversely affect our rrresearch budget... So, sorry about that. I hope you understand.
Mewk Chorosap : The crafting spheres are a somewhat unique item. You can obtain them by using a special technique that brrreaks down certain items into their individual components.
Mewk Chorosap : You'll need to learn the technique before you can prrroceed. This should be everything you need to master it.
Mewk Chorosap : Mwahaha. You can have this one frrree of charge.
Mewk Chorosap : Now, about the item to be used as a base for the technique...
Mewk Chorosap : The rusty key and the bruised starfruit...
Mewk Chorosap : You should be able to use the rusty key with the lightning crystal, and the bruised starfruit with the wind crystal for the prrrocedure.
Mewk Chorosap : I believe there are more items out there that can be used. The exact number is unknown, but just consider finding them yet another part of the challenge.
Mewk Chorosap : You can obtain information from other adventurers, or just keep experrrimenting until you find the answers for yourself.
Mewk Chorosap : However, just be careful that you don't lose any valuable items in the process, even if it is in the name of prrrogress.
Mewk Chorosap : I have a feeling that the items used to create the spheres contain some common factors. Of course, I have no evidence to back it up...
Mewk Chorosap : That concludes my explanation. I imagine crrreating the spheres will keep you busy for some time to come. Good luck.
Mikolulu : Ahh... So this is the one I've heard so much aboutaru...
Mewk Chorosap : Oh, how long have you been here?
Mikolulu : I justaru arrived.
Mewk Chorosap : Mwahaha. Yes, I suppose so.
Mewk Chorosap : Although, I was not expecting you to be the one to brrring me the synthesis focuser.
Mikolulu : I have my reasons-weasons. It needed a few adjustments before delivery. I know you aren't very good at that sort of thing.
Mewk Chorosap : Yes, I suppose you're rrright about that. I am much better at seeing the bigger picture.
Mikolulu : By the way, were you able to properly explain the instructions to your guestaru?
Mewk Chorosap : Of course I was.
Mikolulu : Really? You often tend to leave out rather important details-wetails, so I'm sure you understand my concern.
Mewk Chorosap : E-enough about that alrrready. If you just got here, does that mean you were in Mhaura?
Mikolulu : Mhaura... I hear it's quite a bustling place, so I have some interestaru in it, but as long as she's there, I think I'll pass.
Mikolulu : Besides, I had some minor business to attend to. I paid a visitaru to each of the three countries in the Middle Lands.
Mikolulu : Of course, I made a pointaru to bring back some souvenirs for everybody in the coalition!
Mikolulu : Look! I purchased-wurchased a Goblin doll and a copy of "Autumn's End in Gustaberg", along with a clump of Windurstian Tea leaves and a spicy cracker.
Mikolulu : There's a set of Kaiserin Cosmetics and a Magicmart flyer... What's this thing again? I forgotaru...
Mikolulu : Oh yes... This is a little-wittle trinket I picked up along the way. It's for you, Mewk.
Mewk Chorosap : ...
Mikolulu : There's also a lump of tama-hagane and a ceramic flowerpot...
Mikolulu : And then... Oh!
Mikolulu : I had better get going or else I won't make it in time to prepare for the nextaru investigation!
Mikolulu : Sorry that I'm so busy rightaru now.
Mikolulu : Well then, I'll waitaru until I hear from you again!
Mewk Chorosap : A Magicmart flyer... I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do with this prrresent...
Mewk Chorosap : Hm? There's something wrrritten on the back.
Obtained key item: Reassembling technique.
Posting this just for reference.
I wondered what was the point of the conversation with Mikolulu and he names off all of those items.
Split tables for spheres into light and dark as it keeps growing.
Is this post or the forum glitched? It says page three, but its the same as page 2 for me
