We don't know who imprisoned Veidt, there is some indication it could have been Lady Trieu, and not Dr. Manhattan.

As for timeline, everything in Watchmen GN happened, then it appears that sometime in the 2000s (?) Dr. Manhattan courts Sister Night while she is a cop in Vietnam. We don't know why, but I would speculate he had to do it for some payoff later... but who the fuck knows.

I'm interested to see where Silk Specter falls, will this make her hate Sister Night? Will Lady Trieu end up being her half-sister? (there are hints that her mother was the woman the Comedian impregnated in Vietnam in the GN)

Absolutely loved this show so far. Rewatched the movie, again, for fun too. I had never read the comic so some stuff from the show is quite new to me. I am definitely entertained.

Regarding Trieu, I watched the movie again today and tried to see if anything specific happened when Comedian killed the Vietnamese woman. After Comedian walked out of the bar, Doc briefly hovered over the woman. While nothing was directly implicated during the scene, he could have done something to save the child. Or it could be any number of things given the twists and turns so far. Either way, really enjoying this!

Scene was effectively the same.

The only major difference between GN and Movie was Tentacle Monster versus Manhattan Bombs.

I feel like this latest episode was a bit of a bore but it was needed to fill in some gaps. Overall I'm still slightly confused but I'm still entertained by this show.

involving manhattan directly, i cannot stand writing like this. so you're telling me this godlike being, who knows that exactly where all of the 7th kavalry is outside of their house and that they have a pewpew cannon and goes outside to pop some of their heads but whoops he overlooked one guy that got him, or just ignored him or whatever. i usually like regina king but her delivery in this show is so...off. ill watch the finale but im not expecting to be blown away
