Has Donald tweeted his congratulations to Xi for assuming president for life status yet?
Italian general elections today. Polls banned for 2 weeks before the election so nobody knows what's going to happen.
Considering what the Last Week Tonight video covered whatever happens won't be good lol.

edit:Italy's voters choose populists, deliver stinging rebuke to Europe
(CNN)Italy was plunged into political uncertainty Monday after parliamentary elections delivered huge victories for populist, Euroskeptic parties but left no clear path forward for a new government.
No party or coalition received enough votes to rule alone, and Italy now faces a hung parliament, in what European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker described last month as the "worst case scenario" for Europe.
Projections indicate that around 50% of voters opted for populist or right-wing parties. As ballots continued to be tallied on Monday, the anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) looked set to become the largest single party in parliament with 32% of the vote, although it will not have enough seats for an outright majority.

Italy's ruling centre-left in shock after crushing election defeat
Italy's ruling centre left coalition emerges in third place, hurt by anger over poverty and mass immigration
Italy's political left was in shock after a right-wing alliance emerged with the biggest bloc of votes after Sunday's (March 4) general election. The ruling centre left coalition is third place behind the anti-establishment 5-Star movement.
"It is clear that for us it is a very clear defeat, very clear," said Maurizio Martina, an official from the ruling Democratic Party.
"It is clearly a result below the expectation."
Throughout the night Democratic Party leader Matteo Renzi stayed alone with his party faithful. None of the other parliamentarians, the outgoing ministers, showed up at the headquarters of the democratic party at any point during election night.
"The long night of the democratic party started on March 5," said Euronews reporter Gioia Salvatori. " "What will Renzi decide to do? Will he resign or not? Will he be leading a small parliamentary group or not? All these questions will be answered in the next few hours."
Personally I find China's move back into a communist dictatorship to be the most panic-inducing occurrence happening right now.

Cambridge Analytica and their parent company SCL Group boast about how they have influenced foreign elections.
Describing its work in a Nigerian election, SCL Global said it had advised that "rather than trying to motivate swing voters to vote for our clients, a more effective strategy might be to persuade opposition voters not to vote at all".
It boasted of devising a political graffiti campaign to create a youth "movement" in Trinidad and Tobago and of disseminating "campaign messages that, whilst ostensibly coming from the youth, were unattributable to any specific party". It said as a result "a united youth movement was created".
In Latvia, it said it had recognised that "unspoken ethnic tensions" were "at the heart of the election".
"The locals secretly blamed the Russians for stealing their jobs... armed with this knowledge, SCL was able to reflect these real issues in its client's messaging," the document said.
The files spell out how SCL helped the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office "in strategic planning to counter violent jihadism" in Pakistan.
"I wouldn't only recommend them, I'd work with them again in an instant," wrote an official, whose name has been redacted.

Italy is doing great.
And by great I mean M5S allied with Legala and the president vetoed their choice ( Paolo Savona ) and now they're calling for impeachment.
political instability? in my Italy?
I worry that the US electing a Berlusconi-esque figure made Italy realize that it needed to push the bar even deeper into the ocean if it wanted to retain the western democracy "most ridiculous politics" crown.
They were a shit-show brewing into this inevitably anyway.

Italy's political turmoil is causing a crash of it's bond market.
The US Dow Jones index had shed 1.5% by midday, coming after Italy's FTSE MIB closed down 2.7% and other main markets in Europe shed well over 1%.
A sell-off in Italian bonds saw the yield on two-year debt breach 2%
It meant that short-term Italian bonds suffered their biggest one-day jump in 26 years.
The bond sell-off hit the share prices of European banks exposed to government debt, especially those in Italy. Banco BPM, Banco Generali, Unicredit and BPER Banca closed down between 5% and 6.7%.
On Wall Street, JP Morgan was down 3.7%, and Bank of America and Citigroup were just more than 3% lower. Morgan Stanley fell 5.3%.
