And I guessed pretty damn close. Cammalleri was probably gonna slot with Brown & Kopitar going into preseason, but Iafallo's emergence pushed him out to the 3rd/4th lines and very rarely on the PP. Jokinen adds a face off guy that can eat up 3rd/4th line minutes and is hopeful to help with puck management. Kings this season have been coughing up the puck at a way higher tick; Kings are 6th in yielding scoring chances/60 and 4th highest in high danger chances/60. This is exacerbated by Carter being on IR. Shore has been taking face offs for Tofolli/Pearson and line changing after for Kempe (he really sucks on face offs). So underneath the numbers, there's an upside. Still sucks since Cammalleri was well liked.

That makes a lot more sense. Despite doing well, the Kings needed some cushioning in the depth department. Your youth stepping up has been a great boon in light of your injuries. Helps make a winger like Cammalleri dispensable.
