On a similar note, Kris Versteeg might be out for the rest of the season too from his own back injury. He’s on IR right now and could potentially go onto LTIR

I think the move will help Sammy in the long run. I don't know a lot about New Jersey and their current defense but playing with someone else besides bieksa can't hurt. Last night he played with beauch and had a much better game than previous nights. I'm counting down the days til bieksa's contract is up.
