This is also my thinking. Also the fact that Toriyama originally didn´t even want to include Vegito in DBS so there´s that.

Yeah, my thought on it is we would have screamed bloody hell if they didn't include fusion as a thing in this tournament considering the stakes, so they gave it to us in quite a showy way and now were done with it. They were even gonna throw a pair of earrings in for u7 but talked themselves out of it. I think we do this the old fashioned way, and no way is this tourney ending without Freiza backstabbing in some fashion so I'm sticking by my prediction.

Ep123 title could reference Vegeta, Jiren, Goku, or even Gohan or Toppo.

I have a strong feeling 120-122 are all U3 related and the next few weeks will drag on. I hope I'm wrong about this and future previews will change the narrative, but my predictions are..

120 = Build up and Intro to U3 surviving elite.
121 = Mecha-Fusion Climatic fight / Paparoni Intro
122 = Vegeta vs. Paparoni
123 = Maybe from the fight with Paparoni, Vegeta will obtain UI?

You can't blame the Anime for not fleshing out 70ish new characters, because the entire ToP has been a character development arc for the (major) U7 fighters. Vegeta fighting Jiren (#122) would make me like the character less due to his cliche arrogance rather than giving him remarkable defining moments.


Krillin and #18 - Great relationship.
#17 - Totally cool guy.
Roshi - Shed a little tear when Beerus noticed him.
Piccolo - Had some cool moments with Gohan before #119.
Tien - Filler.
Frieza - Ohohohoho. Heals.
Gohan - Will probably have his much needed spotlight against U3.
Goku - UI and "He's Coming".
Vegeta - I lost the son I never had, also I want to copy Goku instead of doing my part to ensure I won't lose everything.

I will say that the pacing of episodes has been pretty fast, I don't expect them to waste more time on U3 then they have anyone else (except U2, that shit dragged on but finished nicely). While I don't doubt the episodes can work out like that, I suspect they'll bump everything you listed up half an episode.

will they ever learn that giant enemies are terrible? You simply can´t have nicely choreographed fights between the average human and a 40 foot giant. It sucks dick and they keep doing it in DBS.

Ya, that's actually pretty f'ing cool they have both Vegeta VA in one episode.

Regarding the ToP, I'm glad it's basically down to the real fights now. It was pretty much impossible to care about most fights, since barely but a few were above SS level. Freezer's comment in the last episode was spot on for me: things are finally becoming somewhat entertaining. Still the smartest MOFO out there.

Also, a bit late, but I really laughed at Vegeta's attempt at UI. When Goku attained it, he was at his ropes end; when Vegeta tried to attain it, he had a jobber smack him around, then said "f it" and gave up. True story, bro.

tl:dr goku and vegeta share a common lineage to the 1st super sayain. Not all sayains can become SSJ, and where you grow up and strength level is a factor in becoming SSJ. If you have kids and you've mastered SSJ, they get SSJ faster, thanks to s-cells.
