Could there be a possibility of Gohan being treated differently in the manga in comparison to the show?
The show seemed to be ahead of the manga at some point, but I didn't keep up with it so I don't know if it's still lagging behind.

Manga is up to the part where goku is getting members for the tournament so very possible since they’ve done a few different things with power ups compared to the anime.

Major plot points stay the same though. Gohan isn't suddenly becoming God mode in the manga.

It's the end of the fucking universe and Krillin & Eighteen couldn't be sitting farther apart from each other.

I'm sure that's just not something animators even think about honestly. Not like the show's been very well known for PDA or anything remotely resembling romance for the most part.

I mean, Krillin was screaming her number for almost a while episode. Wouldn't surprise me if the VA said it once and the computerized it to different pitches. Someone could have done better with that

Maybe someone should tell him the show is going on hiatus so they can focus on the next movie? Remember this has been going since July of 2015 so a break is understandable. I'd rather they take a break than give us filler episodes, though some of their previous material have had some hilarious moments (Goku & the Tractor).

A filler episode here or there is fun. If they go the filler arc route ala One Piece or Naruto or etc, then they might as well just take a break and not waste our time with a meaningless arc that doesn't add to or progress the story at all.

From what I understood from a few youtube channels covering it, it's not a hiatus though. Super is over. There's nothing to announce, nothing to look forward to (beyond the movie which sounds like it won't involve any current characters unless there's some time travel shinanigens), etc. We know that in all likelihood Dragon Ball in some fashion will return, but will it be Super, will it be another series, will there be a time skip? No one knows.

Pretty amazing episode. 17 is such a badass and GoD Toppo is scary as hell. Animation when he beat the living shit out of Frieza was really really good. Can´t wait for next ep. Time to show what Super Vegeta Blue can do!
