It still annoys me that PG/Melo are such garbage on that team. Maybe Durant was right for leaving? He's still a fuckboi for going to GS but...

Melo was not a great call, but it also allowed the Thunder to get Kanter's contract off the books which will definitely matter down the road.
The Thunder have actually been quite good the last two months, think GS is the only team with a better record over Dec/Jan. Their defense is absolutely top tier (tho Roberson going down is gonna change that), and Steven Adams has been playing like an absolute machine.
Wojnarowski reporting Clips+Pistons engaged in "Serious talks" on a deal for Blake Griffin
Blake Griffin to the Pistons confirmed
Oh shit

Oh My
I'd have to imagine DJ will be on the move too. The only talent they got back was Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley, who is expiring, so looks like they may be embracing the tank

jordan and lou williams pretty much have to be moved at this point.
kind of can't believe they couldn't get a better deal than this. this is so stupid
I'm not basketball smart like you guys. I don't know what to think about this trade for the Pistons. TELL ME WHAT TO THINK AND FEEL BG.
pistons got a great fuckin deal
star player for spare parts
You should think that Van Gundy should just give up coaching and be a full time GM
Two weeks ago local radio and callers were calling for his head and I sort of agreed based on the product on the court. Avery was good but not great. Tobias was probably the most consistent scorer but would still be streaky. Detroit hasn't had a great 4 in a long time so this may help Drummond really shine. Also, we got to shed Boban's shit contract so that's a plus even when thinking about taking on Blake's contract.
For a guy with Blake's injury history...
2 firsts, Avery Bradley (who the Clips would now have bird rights on), and the greatest offensive player in NBA history (Boban, seriously look it up)
Seems like a very good haul.
Blake is by far the best player in the trade, which is usually an indicator you've won. Harris was a solid scorer but did next to nothing else, Avery hurts as 3&D guys are so precious in the league but he doesn't move the needle much on his own. Blake should also be a p natural fit with Drummond as Drummond does a lot of what DJ does, but is a far far better passer which should let Detroit get a little Princetoney as Blake is also an excellent playmaker.
that said, Blake is turning 29 and has a bad injury history. it's a gamble. 1st rounder hurts too as Detroit was probably heading to the lottery.
