Or the zombie that bit him was actually a Whisperer.

May as well have been. Weak ass bite looked like it was from an angry child instead of a walker. They always tear off a piece of flesh, but since this show has shitty writers they did this so we'd have an "emotional" mid season finale moment.
Silver lining is that I'm sure a lot more viewers will drop off for the rest of the season and they'll end this show before it gets worse. This is coming from someone who usually defends it.

Poor Carl is gonna die a virgin after all.
AMC has renewed TWD for a 9th season.
Not so fresh news that Angela Kang replacing Scott Gimple as the show runner. Gimple being moved up to chief content officer over TWD, FTWD, & future spin offs. (Fancy way of sending him off to do busy work?)
Kang wrote episodes such as Judge, Jury, Executioner (Dale death), Coda (Beth death), The Same Boat (Maggie/Carol lock Saviors in a room to burn alive) & a few others.

Great.
TWD returns tonight if anyone wants to watch Carl die for realz this time.
I think people will care more about the death of "coral" memes than Carl dying.

What a shit show, I fast forwarded through most of this. You know Carl has not been my favorite but in the back of my mind there was an idea that this show could come back to some sort of a cohesive story if we moved past wondering around the woods and shooting lots of guns. Carl had a potential to be an interesting character if the story progressed to a part where Rick is this crazy damaged leader and they eventually clash with Carl trying to build something substantial. But hey, back to more sneaking around and shooting and buying their time till the next "Big" death which will be Maggie because she's already apparently leaving the ship for another show.
Maybe that's why Maggie's character never looks pregnant. She too was secretly bit and will last until the finale.
So for the sake of the actor, I really tried giving a shit about Carl dying this episode. I kept getting bored and looking at my phone. Hopefully Chandler lands good roles. He's a decent actor and will prolly be thankful he was killed off.
uggh, was that carl singing in the intro?
The mid season premiere was the lowest rated midseason premiere episode in the show's history. I think we are gonna be closer to the end sooner rather than later at this rate.
I mean it's the lowest rated season in a while so that follows.
First ten minutes of this episode and this is the dumbest I have seen Rick and Michonne ever be.
that's a bold statement, man.
The rest of the episode was decent enough. Written by the new showrunner so hopefully that’s a good sign.
