Don't be a dick and leave someone else's pet at a shelter. Tell the owner that their pet is killing animals you own and ask for compensation and that they pay for measures to secure your rats from the cat or secure the cat from mischief. The owner might not know what's going on and there are reasons why the cat might be given outdoor access.

I'm in a 420 unit apartment community where were allowed up to two dogs, 40lbs max, in a town where feral cats are such a problem they are, literally, giving them away for free (vaccines and spay/neuter included) at pet stores.

If you leave your cat outside in this town/neighborhood, idk what to tell them. If I find this cat and it's not my neighbors gray little piece of shit, the little feline is going straight to jail. I hooked up my indoor camera on my patio looking for the fucker. Hes visited me at least twice this week, and I'm going to get him...

Soo, my buddy went to the vet today. He had to get 7 teeth extracted and some gum scaling. You never realize how bad it is till you go in of course. Had some scary ass complications with his heart while he was under but thankfully it went okay. Definitely going to be brushing the rest of his teeth on the regular now. Only reason I could foot the bill is cuz of my bonus at work so. Will want to try to avoid that again lol here he is drugged up still

Poor baby boy. Oral surgery for dogs is so expensive. Regular cleanings can help a lot. They make a lot of different cleaning products for you at home but I know oral procedures for cleanings are usually offered by vets. It’s like $500 though. My dogs get it every 2-3 years. It’s tough on the wallet but good for their health. Hope he feels better man.

My dad texted me this morning to tell me my dog passed away in her sleep. I was gonna bring her to Ottawa when I got my own place after I got through hiring probation.

My female monitor is going cycling up again, so we decided to pull the trigger and introduce my friend's Male. We were worried they would go straight into #thunderdome, but they hid for two hours.

We surprised them trying to mate, and they ran off and hid again. She may or may not be ready to hook up, I think she probably has a week or so still but really, no one knows. It's very encouraging. Wish us luck! We know of only one other person trying to breed these. Hasn't been a successful captive born and bred V. rudicolis since the late 90's.

that's the plan. i want at least one holdback, if not a couple but i'm not in any hurry. she's dropped 4 clutches previously, roughly every 100 days or so. plenty of time.

hopefully this was a successful hook up. their asses were under the basking platform so i can't say for sure we had a lock up, but they did this for 12 hours so confidence is reasonably high.

incubator is set up and ready to roll:



if i can bring these to term this will be the first (private) captive bred success since the late 90's. there have been a couple of one-offs in zoos but never successive generations either, which is the goal. there just aren't many of us working with the species and they are very, very shy when wild caught. i know two people with breeding groups, but no one's managed to take the eggs full term yet.
