I didn't see Super Metroid. Are they gonna do it during the finale? I imagine they have to keep it on the roster even if there's cringe in the background because of how much money that run alone can bring in for the charity.

I'm almost willing to bet the BotW run will bring in just as much.

Super Metroid was just too stale, and probably pretty close to being "complete" as far as speed running goes. Let it rest for a year and then bring it back.

Last year was a fucking parade of emote only and my feefees. Really brought the event down. Hope it's better this year or those lot just stay home. Sucks not to see SM but really the last time or two has been one person finishing so I guess it's time for a rest. Can't say I want to watch BotW or any post-N64 Zelda games though. Is there some kind of bidding war for BotW? Save/Kill usually accounted for a pretty high percentage of the donations. I highly doubt it brings in anywhere near as much as SM.

Let alone the fact BotW runs are a gigantic snooze fest.
