[edit] oh, I just read it's going to be CG and not live action, which partly invalidates my question. I assumed it was gonna be something like the Lion King Broadway show (which is phenomenal) but this...eh, wonder if it will be any good. I did enjoy the recent Beauty and the Beast movie though >_>

I think it's going to be similar to The Jungle Book (Also directed by Favreau) (also really really good).

That is one of the easiest things to imagine

Billy Eichner as Timon will be interesting. I can easily see Seth Rogan as Pumba (or the rest of the cast for their respective roles really), but Eichner's style especially compared to Nathan Lane is just so... different. He's just so shouty compared to Lane's sarcastic, constantly talking style lol. Gonna be a different take on the character for sure

He should've been Bobcat Goldthwait. Not that he perfectly fits the sarcastic type, just want to hear his classic crazy voice in this.

Even in his more toned-down sound recently his voice is still iconic.
