    Moving FF14 to an External

I was wondering if it's possible to just easily move FF14 to an external hard drive or would that create issues with how things install? I have it on an SSD currently.

You would just copy it (the whole FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn folder) and then make a shortcut to the ffxivboot.exe. The game will still make it's profile stuff in the Documents\My Games folder.

Well, the "clean" way would be to copy the whole game folder away, uninstall it to remove all eventual pointers to the old install path, install the base game to the new path and copy the saved game folder over it. You'd just have to make sure the external HDD always has the same drive letter.
BUT I hope you're aware that switching from an SSD to a USB HDD will probably drive your zoning times through the roof...
