Same. Honestly at this point, they need to peg Filoni into a Kevin Feige role of him overseeing pretty much all Star Wars. May not direct everything or even write for each one... but he should be the gatekeeper for keeping an overall story arch timeline. But sadly, we still have KK and I got a feeling with Mando's success she will do everything in her power to keep Filoni's involvement to a minimum/none.

The D+ version of The Rise of Skywalker has some changes from the theatrical release. The blue/green camera filter the JJ insisted on has been removed. Also, captions now have characters names including identifying all of the Jedi speaking to Rey at the end of the film.

See, Loki—and now we’re discussing the very expensive entertainment property, and not just the plucky little godling—did so well with its Wednesday release date that Disney is going to stick with it…for everything. That is, any original programming for Disney+, from any new Marvel shows, to existing programs, to original streaming-only films, is now going to drop on Wednesdays, Loki-style, rather than the Fridays that were originally the norm.

Weren’t Friday’s considered the death slot for cable shows back in the day? I’m sure that doesn’t apply the same to streaming but it kinda makes sense.

It made sense for friday's during the pandemic as well since you couldn't go out and it gives a focal point for everyone to "sit down and watch whats new".

Now with everything opening up again, youre more likely to be at home on a wednesday night to watch than you are on a friday.

I think with digital viewing at ones' convenience it won't matter when a show is released. People will watch it when they are able to.

There is probably a measurable drop off in metrics for people likely to watch something on release day vs after release day or release window. It may not be yuge, but big enough for execs to still plan around a specific day to get the largest immediate return for their service.

There are no plans to bring D+ shows, such as Marvel's lineup & The Mandalorian, to Blu-Ray or DVD.
