Disney has made a deal with Starz to run ads for Starz content so D+ will have the new Star Wars : The Force Awakens and a number of Marvel films.

A Disney spokesperson confirmed that ads are part of a revised licensing deal with Starz that was made in order to have certain titles available on Disney+ at launch. Customers will see a display ad prompting them to sign up for Starz, but there aren’t any ads within the actual Disney+ or ESPN+ service once they sign in.

The service won't get The Last Jedi until 2020 due to an agreement with Netflix.

Not sure what kind of voodoo they pulled but it was announced today that Avengers: Endgame WILL be available on launch day Nov. 12th instead of being delayed to December as previously announced.
