I swear Pixar has a standing mandate to make people cry tho. When the older brother was describing his last memory of his father, that just gutted me. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer and that just brought back too many memories.

RUMOR: Kingdom Hearts CG-animated series allegedly in the works at Disney+

I was originally going to publish this as an exclusive article, but apparently a few other insiders have heard about it too so I'm just going to tweet it out I think.

There is a #KingdomHearts series in the works at Disney+.

Disney originally wanted to make it but that didn't work out, so Square Enix was asked to create a pilot using Unreal Engine. Disney VO actors are expected to reprise their roles (Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, Tony Anselmo)

Not surprising if true, Disney lacks kid anime. Losing Pokémon to Netflix and Studio Ghibli to HBO Max(US) and Netflix(International markets).
