The reduction in complexity (for tanks at least) is pretty obviously to attempt to attract more players to that role.

DRK is still getting kind of fucked though. WAR was already ~150 DPS ahead of PLD/DRK, and now it'll be just a braindead easy to play.

I'm honestly expecting this DPS increase to only be notable in 4man dungeons and solo play. For full 8 man party situations, every other job in the group will benefit more from each other than Warrior, therefor Warrior's benefit for being in a party and receiving buffs will be lower which will average it back down to "normal" levels. Unless there's a Monk in the group, the only buff/debuff greatly affecting WAR's output will be Trick Attack (Hypercharge will line up so infrequently that it isn't really worth talking about), and that will only be every once in a while. Will have to hold gauge and try to line up with any out-of-IR TAs and they won't have nearly as much weight as the IR TAs to begin with.

325 most likely to not obsolete rabanastre, since new dungeons tend to be half steps if anything as it offers the new tomesones.

This is solely based on the first expert dungeons dropping i300 and Skalla dropping i315 gear.

Wait did WAR just become completely braindead? You don't need ANY points for fell cleaves anymore under zerk now basically so the notion of setting up is completely gone? Am I reading this right?

Reddit will definitely have a thread up the moment the download goes live. I know I downloaded 4.1 around 9 PM PST, but that's when I get home so I don't know if it was up earlier.

Reddit so salty about the angel/devil glams coming to mogstation.

I don't think they're ugly and once I can afford it/it's on sale I'm totally going to get the angel one for my healer fuck y'all. That so many people hate it is just icing on the cake.

I am actually pretty psyched about this patch tbh, especially with familiar stuff like Byakko and FF6 coming around.
