Agony is a first-person survival horror game currently in development. Players will begin their journey as tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past.

The special ability to control people on their path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives the player the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions they are in.

By exploring hostile environment and interacting with the other weary souls of the hellscape, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require a meeting of the mystical Red Goddess.

Delayed to May 29th

The highly anticipated horror-survival game Agony will launch on May 29th as developer Madmind Studios and publisher Maximum Games announced the release date for PlayStation® 4, Xbox One the all in one entertainment system from Microsoft and PC today. A new teaser trailer revealed with today’s launch date showcases the terrifying scenery and cursed creatures awaiting players brave enough to explore Agony’s twisted realms.

Agony throws players in the midst of hell where they strive to stay alive and solve the riddle behind the mysterious Red Goddess; architect of this place of sorrow and pain, and the sole entity with knowledge of how escape… but there is more to the story than it seems. Haunted by nightmare creatures, players gain the ability to possess demons and other souls to find their way out of hell.

Since its announcement, Agony has been featured on numerous “Most anticipated Horror Games 2018” lists and the Kickstarter-financed title is poised to challenge players with its brutal and malevolent environments as one of the premiere horror titles of the year.

Agony features a full-fledged story mode as well as an open challenge system that randomly generates levels for players to explore and survive to gain new high scores.

Agony Mode announced

Madmind Studios revealed today more information about the Agony Mode which adds additional features to the critically acclaimed horror game Agony which will launch on May 29th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One the all in one entertainment system from Microsoft as well as PC.

The additional game mode will add procedurally generated chambers for the players to test their hellish surivival skills. In mysterious labyrinths made of human bones or frosted ice chambers players will face random quest and challenges. They might be tasked to collect ten figurines which are spread around the level. Despite the main story mode of the game the players can choose on the gender of their character and the game ends with the death of the players, calculating their score. To drive the challenge to a global level all scores will be displayed on a worldwide leader board.

When players achieve their given quest objectives and make their way to the mysterious “Red Chamber” – implemented in each procedural generated level they can add additional points to their score by generating additional chambers to test his skills or even go back replaying the given level as one of the notorious Succubus!
