The plane was originally flying from NYC to London, England...so there is a lot of fuel on board.

Well the fact the tires are blown makes it sound like it's going to be a belly landing which is going to be harsh at best, the plane falling apart completely killing everyone on board at worst.

Yeah a lot of people don't get this. But you keep doing frequent tests for the rest of your life because they might not have anything detectable for years but it will likely come back assuming you really ever got it all or just got it low enough to not be able to detect it
