No one hustlin the right way no more.
No one hustlin the right way no more.
late to the party but scoped A Quiet Place. p good monster-mash horror jam, good concept good creature design good acting, brilliant sound design- muffling everything when going to deaf daughter + Neil Young's sweet barn-dancin croon exploding out of the earpod was that good shit.
Spoiler: show
ending was lifted from 10 Cloverfield Lane a bit but lacked the abuse metaphor; lacked any kind of metaphor really which is when i think horror is at its best (10 Clove, It, It Follows etc) but went heavy on character rather than heavy on theme and did it well. 3/5 suffocations in corn.
Watched Black Panther, thought it was ight. I thought I was gonna shit my pants based on the comments here. Meh.
Cobra Kai was p. cool. You old nerds will dig it, me thinks.
The Angriest Man in Brooklyn was probably forgotten as soon as it was made, but watching it now after Robin Williams's suicide was actually rough.

Finally saw Annihilation. Thought it was aight. Just aight
Rewatched the Martian for the upteenth time. Matt Damon science the shit out of everything never gets old.
Upgrade, holy shit the flick was amazing. Its a fucking crime nobody watched it. Btw, the threads title is garbage.
Only because people aren't accurately following the rules of the title.
Yeah, you guys are stupid.
Late to the game but holy fuck at Three Billboards.
Saw Upgrade. It was fine. Lots of squandered potential as it introduced a lot of interesting ideas and themes but didn't really explore them in a satisfying way. Ending was pretty wtf.
Hereditary was a fucking fantastic horror movie.
Tron.
Never seen it before.
That and Terminal Velocity, made me picture a world where Charlie Sheen starred in Mission: Impossible instead of Tom Cruise.

Hereditary was slow for a long while, most horror are, but it paid off in spades. Ending was truely wtf. Felt like The Witch but better in every way. I wouldn't exactly say it was scary though. Unsettling is the best way for me to describe it.
x3 on Hereditary best horror flick in a minute.
Watched Kingsglaive as I'm about to start XV. Was pleasantly surprised.
