I enjoyed Dark Fate too.
I enjoyed Dark Fate too.
So both Kingsman villains had really excellent points.
Eggsy probably did more to combat climate change by killing the people in the bunkers than Valentine would have done by killing everyone else.
And Poppy was just clearly right and if she weren't a ruthless murderer there'd be nothing objectively wrong with her.

1917.
Outstanding
The Gentlemen has a decent story, but it is not as complex as Snatch nor is the dialogue as good.
watched train to busan, was pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed it
Action, visuals, and nostalgia is my thing for this series. I feel the same about Star Wars.
People gotta remember the origins of these kind of movies.
T1 and T2 were dope ass sci-fi action movies with an ok plot carried by some great acting. Yes, even Arnold. He was muthafuggin perfect for the role.

Got to see Weathering with you in theaters. The animation was breathtaking and story tugged all the heart strings
Finally got around to see uncut gems, really enjoyed it.
Spoiler: show
Also curious if the others who saw it noticed that they 'homaged' the akira soundtrack during the last stretch of the movie.
Y'all sleeping on this movie. Must watch if you into this kind of stuff.
jojo rabbit was a really cute movie, but i understand how it really went for the most niche of audiences.
would've been 10/10 if they just focused on theon and sam rockwell tho
Spoiler: show
The Jewish girl is such a compelling character (I watched the first hour a week ago, need to go back and finish it)
Finally watched Ford vs Ferrari last night. Then watched it again this morning. I ended up sitting about 5 feet from the TV like a little kid.
If you love racing, god damn it's great. Like, really really really great. When I say love racing, I don't mean "I like to drive fast." Those that are deep in the history and lore if it. Just the names thrown around in there alone had me giddy. Even knowing the whole real story, it was extremely engaging. Would have liked a bit more car action, but there was enough to scratch the itch.
Kinda curious how it was perceived by those of you that aren't that big into racing.

been catching up on movies this past week in prep for the oscars
how ford v ferrari and little women got nominated for best picture over uncut gems cannot be explained to me
fun story: i told my parents i liked jojo rabbit
my dad, whose parents escaped Lithuania right before ww2, apparently had turned the movie off after 30 minutes and was not amused. oops
ok boomer
That's why I asked about Ford vs Ferrari. As someone deep into racing, it was phenomenal. But best picture? I didn't even know it was nominated and that seems kinda bizarre from my standpoint. Yes it was really well done, but I don't see how it would connect with the general public. I still don't see what separates it from many of the other great movies from this past year other than the lore.
