Shit looks like a green screen mess. I'd rather watch any of indis but the skull one.
Old but kino: Memories of Murder, TGwtDT, and TLotM.
Edit: Throw Magnolia in there too.

The Suicide Squad was entertaining, basically what you'd expect from the trailer.
Just finished Luca with our daughter. Was a Disney/Pixar movie through and through, but as you'd expect the quality was there. Predictable at this point, but still enjoyable.
Wrath of Man and I've shilled End of Watch before and its a must.
Caught Reminiscence yesterday. It had some great ideas, concepts, and actors but failed to put them together in a compelling way. Some extremely stilted, expository dialogue. I really enjoy Westworld, so with Lisa Joy had some hope, but it would appear she is a better director than she is a writer. I know this one had a fairly convoluted story to get made, but the script needed a couple more turns of the screw, preferably by a writer who could cobble the great ideas into a more cohesive script.
Just got out from seeing Candyman. Very interesting take on it. While bloody, more psychological horror then being a jump scare slasher flick.

I haven't seen it yet, waiting for the theatrical premiere at Graumann's Chinese theater in Hollywood on Saturday (9/11) but my good friend Nick that I went to film school with co-directed this new documentary that VICE picked up. It's called "Too Soon: The Comedy of 9/11" and he's been working on it for years. You can watch it on the VICE website:

Good acting. I’m a sucker for the NE setting. Hits hard when it comes together.
Jungle Cruise is a perfectly fine clone of The Mummy.

Bridge of Spies - Director Spielberg, Starring Tom Hanks was an extremely good movie.
lol. I must have missed it being brought up here, but after I saw it, I thought "That was no John Hannah, but this was a decent bounce back after Mummy 3". I might expect people to want to compare it to Pirates of the Caribbean, but I think you can chalk up that stuff to simply Disney-fying The Mummy.
Kate on Netflix was pretty fun.
Saw Malignant today. Was really cool actually. Except for the score on some scenes.
I’m going to have to counter that with very much not enjoying Malignant. I think it’s a divisive movie but I didn’t enjoy my time watching it. To be critical of it, the movie didn’t seem to stay consistent with its vision. The first half is set up to be some type of haunting thriller but it ends up being like a detective cop murder mystery. Really, really campy in the first half (I think this was intentional but my god it was almost unbearable).
