Hah, yeah.. about that. Not to continue to praise the movie but it was a very pleasant surprise. I guess I underestimated how good current 'original' Pixar stories are, or rather just forgot how good they are. Glad to be wrong!

    Annihilation was pretty insane.

It just about captured the spirit of the Dark Souls games in the 3rd act better than anything else I could imagine.

I saw this last night and I thought it started real great but then it lost me somewhere halfway through. - not saying it turned bad, just that I'll didn't think it kept up with the first half.

Lake Mungo creeped me the fuck out at some parts when I was watching that at 3 am the other week.
Documentary style horror movie dealing with the aftermath of a family finding their recently deceased daughter in pictures and video.

You could have been talking about the book or the movie and it'd be the same story.

Eh, I liked it. Everything with the bear was pretty great. 3rd act was pretty trippy. I don't need to watch it again but it wasn't a bad movie.

    Saw A Quiet Place today.
Started pretty slow, relying soley on jump scares, but then it ramps up real good midway through and stays great until the end.

I didn't see the Dad as Jim Halpert once the movie got going so that's good since a part of me was worried I would. He also directed it.

What really surprised me was that it was coproduced by Michael Bay.

    Definitely deserves it's high scores.

What I was not impressed by though was Dobly Cinima. Vibrating seats seemed so gimmicky and every time is happened it took me right out of the movie. And while the sound was good, those beginning jump scares at the beginning of the movie actually hurt my ears to the point it actually added tension just because I was waiting for the next assault on my eardrums. - not sure if that's a Dolby or movie problem, or even just a me problem though.

A quiet place is great. Most quiet movie I’ve ever seen in a theatre.

Don’t buy food or drinks for this one if you’re usually that kind of moviegoer. All you’ll hear is other people moving and eating and stuff but you drown it out after about 10 mins or so

That's often a theater problem. Was fine in mine

A little bit of food wouldn't be that bad but if you get kids you might just want to leave.

A Quiet Place was one of the best movie experiences I've ever had, in a theater. The movie was phenomenal.

Third, I was expecting it to be a typical snoozefest and it was pretty fucking funny. Also yes, Cena fucking nailed his part
