Marvel announced today a little teaser simply with Hickman. Further details expected at C2E2 this weekend.

There was another teaser last week talking about human evolution seemingly pointed towards something X-Men related but not sure if the two teasers are connected at all but it's possible.

lets see im foggy on which came first but umm...

scott went all dark phoenix, killed professor x, then scott went all magneto on the world trying to liberate mutants.
which led into beast bringing the teenage versions of the original five from the past in attempt to talk sense into scott but teenage xmen got stuck in the present as a result.
secrets wars happens, after secret wars scott is dead, which led into in-humans vs x-men.

around this time bendis jumped ship to DC.

after that lots of stuff which led into jean gray being resurrected, jubilee no longer a vampire, teen cable kills old cable and sends time displaced teen versions back to their time.

logans been resurrected.

which all leads into latest arc where X-MAN Nathen Summers from age of apocalypse went all Jesus on the world, took all the x-men fighting him to his own reality age of X-man. meanwhile Scotts been resurrected by young cable cause daddy issues. I know i missed a lot of stuff and teenage xmen play a large part in latter storylines

It wasn't secret wars, it was IvX and the terrigan mist killing mutants leading to a conflict between mutants and inhumans.

I haven't been following X-Men stuff for awhile, is Scott still dead and hated by the entire world or are we getting the one true Cyclops back?

I'll read it either way because Hickman, but how they butchered Cyclops turned me off so hard from most of the X-Men comics.

He's alive with a teenaged Cable, I think? Haven't read anything Marvel recently beyond Runaways and War of Realms.

Teen Cable brought him back, he's got a team of mutants who weren't taken by X-Man, basically trying to rebuild the X-men in a world where they all vanished.

Is that what's going on with all the other X-Men books? They got pulled into some Age of Apocalypse electric boogaloo situation while Scott is hanging out in the 616?

Pretty much. Everyone in 616(as of now) thinks all the xmen who were at the fight are dead.
Uncanny is covering Scott and Logan wanting to clean up whatever messes xmen/mutants left behind in the world, X-force book is following up with teen Cable and results from decimation and various Age of Xmen titles is covering where the xmen ended up.

Hickman writing 2 mini-series that begin in July: House of X and Powers of X. These 2 series will set the foundation for xmen series going foward.
