And this is why I generally don't read Marvel/DC/cape comics.
Outside of Marvel/DC I read Saga, Black Monday Murders, East of West aaaaannnd... I guess that's it as far as ongoings.
Spoiler: show
She Hulk MCU, when?
Whenever Disney gets over themselves about Marvel's distribution deal with Universal.
Also Sweet Christmas, that is a STACKED line-up of Avengers.
what are my boys hickman and remender writing these days? still only indie stuff?
Yeah only writing for Image and other assorted side projects. Nothing for Marvel or DC.
Hickman does Black Monday Murders which is a noir mystery supernatural thriller about the stock market. He also does East of West which is about Death seeking revenge against the other three horsemen in a world where America never came to be. Both are amazing. Both update frustratingly infrequently.
Remender just finished up Black Science for Image, and there should be more issues of Low somewhere around the corner. Think the only other ongoing he has ATM is Deadly Class, also thru Image.
If you never read it Hickman also did The Manhattan Projects for Image, which was a pretty entertaining series.
Wait did the she thor series get wrapped up? I kinda tuned out and never finished it.
Cover for Exiles #3 including an AU Peggy Carter:

So I had no idea the current Cable series wasn't taking place in present time until the most recent issue. Don't know if I missed something at the start or what.
Also got a bad feeling about where Dan Slott is going with the end of his run on ASM. At first I thought he was taking the Grant Morrison approach with Batman and resetting Spider-Man to back where he found him for the next writer to take over from scratch. Now I think he's headed toward recreating a certain famous Spider-Man storyline featuring the Green Goblin and a dead girlfriend.
Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing Captain America starting in July. Leinil Francis Yu is on art. Coates was great writing Black Panther and Yu is great on everything.
Four books. One remarkable universe. In celebration of The Sandman's 30th Anniversary, Neil Gaiman and Vertigo Comics proudly introduce The Sandman Universe, the next chapter in one of the most influential and beloved works of fantasy ever devised. Four new series set in the world of Gaiman's comic, written by four masters of imagination.
I dig it. I didn't really get into Overture but it's hard not to be excited for more Sandman where you can get it.
Spurrier is great but I dont know the other 3 writers.
Read through Death of X and Inhumans vs X-Men (as well as all the tie-ins).
DoX was great. I figured something was up whenbut the twist at the end still got me. Really enjoyed it.Spoiler: show
IvX on the other hand... I really wanted to like it. It started off really strong for like, the first 2 or 3 issues, but kind of went off the rails beyond that.
I can't say I liked or disliked either. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't like. I did enjoy Phoenix Resurrection, though it was a bit slow in the middle. Probably could have been an issue shorter and gotten the same result.
Although the push to make the Inhumans popular failed miserably, there is one fantastic book. Black Bolt is easily one of the best Marvel books out right now. I recommend it to everyone.
