    She did it herself to save the gods, a reverse-Messiah story.

    It looked to me like the 10th metal-powered league destroyed the Nightmare Batmen, except for the Batman who laughs.

    Also it looks like the point of Metal, which I personally enjoyed greatly, was to expand the DCU in a literal sense - the universe itself is now bigger than it was and no one knows what new things are out there. It's going to tie into No Justice, the new JLA teams, and the upcoming Sandman universe.

    My hope is that the changes to the universe Batman talked about, along with Doomsday Clock, is going to be what finally sets continuity back to where it was pre-New 52. There are some things I don't mind them keeping (seems like Donna Troy and Hawkman finally have coherent origins) but a lot of this stuff has got to go.

    Look into Monstress while you're at it. Along with Saga, Lazarus, and Wicked and the Divine it's definitely one of my favorite comics of the last few years.

    So when Secret Wars ended Valeria and Franklin were about 5 and 12, respectively, they look to have both aged a number of years since then.

    The current Marvel Two-in One series is seemingly the title leading to this return though too as it features Thing and Human Torch on a journey through the multiverse looking for Reed and Sue even though Thing is convinced they are dead. But the longer they stay separated though it seems the weaker their powers get as both Torch and Thing are starting to lose their powers.

    Ok, newbie commonly asked question incoming;
    I only started diving into comics seriously very recently and looking for some more suggestions;

    What I've read (and enjoyed) thus far; Kingdom Come, Age of Ultron, Planet Hulk/World War Hulk, Superior Spiderman, Spiderverse, Civil War, Marvels, Saga, Chew, Monstress, God Country, Rat Queens, All the older critically acclaimed Batman stuff, and just a little into Sandman thus far. At least that's what I can recall at the moment.

    And three more specific questions I have; Is Civil War 2 good, is Infamous Iron Man worth a read, and is House of M just another story that changes up everything only to have it reset back to normal like Age of Ultron? It was well enough when it happened there, but I'd rather not read another story like that atm.

    Spoiled for length.
    Spoiler: show

    And I really liked God Country alot both art and story but I would have liked it if it was longer (is wanting more count as a negative?) And wished it expanded in the story instead of speeding throufh everything.

    Marvels was a really nice change of perspective and I definitely liked Kingdom Come' story and structure. I typically don't like DC because of all the ridiculously overpowered god-like characters and perhaps I really liked what this story did because it was pointing out what happened when the world gets over run by such powerful people.

    Spiderman's probably my favorite superhero. Superior Spiderman I thought was great though the ending felt rushed and Spiderverse was fun.

    Chew's originality and weirdness kept me reading. And Monstress is basically a epic fantasy novel in comic form which is my literary genre of choice-and it's done well..

    To answer some specifics;

    House of M had long-lasting impact and its results were only partially undone in the past year or so. It established the status quo for mutants for a very long time.

    Infamous Iron Man is excellent, however appreciation for it comes with having read Jonathan Hickman's run on Avengers and the subsequent Secret Wars series. I think it was the most interesting Doom story in decades.

    I would also recommend for super heroes the most recent runs of The Mighty Thor, Detective Comics, and Nightwing. The Avengers is just getting started again as well.

    For non-supers, Saga, East of West, Black Monday Murders, and I've started getting into Lazarus as well. Also there is nothing bad to be said about The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

    Ive been enjoying Doctor Strange lately, infamous Ironman been awesome read and mighty Thor has been an emotional rollercoaster.

    Venoms new run been good so far and since you liked spiderverse, check out Venomverse and recent Venomized event thats come from it.

    Keep in mind that Marvel also in process of retconning all their recent changes over the past couple years so there is some crossover events that are brewing atm.

    Thanks. I'll check out some if that stuff.

    And I was wanting to read Secret Wars but had heard it was kind of meh with only a few decent moments sprinkled throughout. Though I should read it if I wanted to get into Infamous Iron Man?
