Anyone reading the new TMNT mini series, Last Ronin? Eastman and Laird are writing it, so I'm pretty stoked to see where it goes.

I feel bad for Maddy after Hellions #4. I hope they make more fair rules in regards to clones. Feels kinda shitty that poor Honey Badger might meet the same fate. T_T
So, X of Swords was really great up through Stasis and then it got super dumb as soon as they actually started the tournament. It's not like Jonathan Hickman to not have a plan but this feels like it was all pulled out of a hat.
Jesus fuck, Donny Cates does not disappoint with King in Black 1
It was amazing but I'm being super cautious because I remember Blackest Night and Secret Invasion both had phenomenal first issues and look how those turned out.

As a follow up to X of Swords, the final 3 issues were spectacular but man that was a lot of pointless filler in the middle. I hope Reign of X is more cohesive in presentation.

I am so mad at the ending of the Doctor Doom series.
Also I didn't check to see who the writer for the Death Metal Secret Origin issue was but someone managed to write a great Superboy Prime story and that has not happened in quite some time.

I'm just ready for death metal (and the Batman Who Laughs) to end -- there's only one issue left, right?
Also, regarding this week's Spider-Man..
Spoiler: show
Death Metal seems like it would be cool if I weren't as burnt out on Crises as the event itself references.

Also after what I thought was a surprisingly solid run on Superman Bendis is moving to Justice League and apparently no one told DC editorial you don't let Bendis on team books.

Appears to be no Liefeld, but it still doesn't look great.
Blade is to Heroes Reborn as Bishop is to Age of Apocalypse
