Is there some kind of plugin or external app or something that will tell me all the pieces of gear I have (on me or in slips) that X job can wear in each slot? I'm trying to come back after a mildly long break and I have no fk idea what I have or what it would be good for without being able to see it all at once

findall is the only addon I know of that'll search your inventory and slips for gear, but it does not narrow it by job. You could use these two resources for searching for gear by job:

Advanced search on ffxiah: https://www.ffxiah.com/search/item#adv Warning: do not use "IL119 only" button. some gear is listed as 255 in their database (mistakenly) so it wont show that gear. Just click slot/job then search, and sort it by item level.

The wiki: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Armor click on a slot you want, and you can sort by many means. Ctrl+F and "JOBABBREVIATION" will help, but not much.

Note: neither page lists potential augments on gear that can be augmented. I recommend looking at a guide and searching your inventory for recommended gear.

oof, seems like it wouldnt have been too difficult for findall to have filters for slots or jobs no? I probably dont have any bis gear for anything so I'm just sifting through the mountain of first wave 119 gear I have

Well that would require findall to have a database that includes job listings. All it is now is a list of the names.

Turns out my controller issues were entirely because I also had a PS3 controller plugged in to my PC, and that was taking control of the config tool even though the XB1 controller was set to be my default. I forgot you can't map the triggers in the config, but oh well.

Depends on how many there are; if you need other people to do stuff, it's probably the better choice. From what's going around, Asura is like Mad Max, though I doubt it actually is that bad. If you have enough people, you'd probably be better off on a different server with peak times that differ from yours.

For instance, Odin is great for EU people. No queues in the evening, AH is still loaded with stuff.
