Could someone explain the significance/relevance of Pulse weapons to me? I've read the wiki entry and I understand they're somehow related to weapons like the Shining One and the Karambit, but I don't really understand how the upgrade/acquisition process works. Can I get a Shining One with any Pulse Weapon, or do I specifically need the pulse Polearm, for instance? I have a Borealis, is that useful for anything? Which of the upgraded ones are good?

It states that any weapon works on the wiki. Where did you run into the confusion so that it can be amended if news be?

The pulse weapons are not iLvl so they have no other use. You trade them in the final upgrade in the same sort of way you upgrade ambuscade armor. Follow the table on the ambuscade rewards page.

While some weapons are better than others such as the dagger, sword, or polearm it depends what job you are and what you are working with.

Think I just confused myself by associating the pulse weapon with the Ambuscade version, the wiki is probably clear enough unless you want to change the "1x Pulse Weapon" to "1x Any Pulse Weapon" for dummies like me.

I know Shining One seems to be pretty hot at the moment. I'm not sure how much use the Sword has for my jobs (PLD and RDM), was also wondering about the H2H but I haven't really looked at my MNK at all yet since returning.

I pulsed Dagger/Sword, and I Kaja'd h2h/Club. Next Pulse will probably be Polearm just because its so damn juicy, but honestly the club is pretty freaking awesome on certain enemies (read: Any of the Skeletal or Blunt weak variety) since Black Halo is already a pretty strong WS.

Have R15 Apoc, AG Rag(lol) so I decided to make Cala and take that as my next R15.

Handled all my lottery spawn NM's, working on the Shadow Region T2's now. Are the T1-> T2 upgrades really this bad? Is there a trick? I have gone 50 kills without an upgrade on my abyssite and this first phase of Shadow Region are taking FOREVER.

If you have Rhapsodies finished it should be 100% I think. I'm actually making a calad too and I'm about to be on the same process as you brah ^_ ^;;

Edit: nvm, looks like thats abyssea only. Lemme know how it goes because I'm gonna have to go through the same shit. I've been putting it off for 2 weeks now.

I've finished Rhapsodies and Abyssea is easy. Already have my Carabosse Gems and Lanterns done. I just got a colorful upgrade and and have 2 kills left on Urd. I got lucky with 5 kills and then this one I am working is over 40 kills and no change

Hold onto the t3 Pop and just watch for the right \heal message

Or alternatively have an alt pop the t2s then warp out before you kill

I felt like I was the only NA left on the server. I went to Valefor for a bit to meet some friends, but they all pretty much stopped playing because they "beat the game".

I just recently moved to Asura and am loving it. Game feels alive and there's always something to do. The amount of trolling in yell is quite funny too.

Yeah, I left Ragnarok in 2016 because all my shells had moved on to ARR, or the people left were in incompatible time zones for me, and Reddit had the LS with so many people in it that it was always active.
