Retaliation, now we know who the "bigger" man is in all of this. Why they gotta be such pussies.
It more strikes me as a conflict of interest rather than being pussies lol.
https://www.cinemablend.com/news/257...v=related_listRealizing that this is the new reality in our current state of movie-theater uncertainty, Emma Stone reportedly has negotiated royalties on at-home streams into her new deal to return for Cruella 2.
https://deadline.com/2021/08/emma-st...ey-1234814551/Endeavor executive chairman Patrick Whitesell had this to say about the agency’s client Stone and her Cruella 2 deal.
“While the media landscape has been disrupted in a meaningful way for all distributors, their creative partners cannot be left on the sidelines to carry a disproportionate amount of the downside without the potential for upside. This agreement demonstrates that there can be an equitable path forward that protects artists and aligns studios’ interests with talent. We are proud to work alongside Emma and Disney, and appreciate the studio’s willingness to recognize her contributions as a creative partner. We are hopeful that this will open the door for more members of the creative community to participate in the success of new platforms.”
Well I'm hoping Covid will be much more under control by the time Cruella 2 comes out >.>
Id wager this will be the common approach moving forward at least for mid term (3-5 years), and is probably by chance one of the first deals for new content knowing how Covid has changed everything since so many releases are older contracts that have been backlogged and held back for a while.
I believe the theatrical exclusive window is significantly shorter now regardless of covid. Working streaming in as part of the deal is likely the new normal.
Just saw it today, and uh... on the car vs. rocket thing, it was a fucking Lada. Those cars are almost like tanks, lol.
ScarJo and Disney settled out of court.

While the exact details of the settlement are, per usual, going undisclosed, Deadline reports this weekend that sources have informed them that Johansson’s payday is, to put it mildly, significant: Somewhere in the neighborhood of $40 million, just $10 million less than her initial damage request. It’s hard not to see that as a pretty unequivocal win for Johansson, even as all parties now strive to put a smile on this whole frequently ugly encounter.
Now free to watch on Disney Plus if you’d been a hold out like me.
It's a new conversation between Yelena and Valentina about how Natasha really wasn't that great and we should all forget she ever existed.

I watched it online, but from what I read it sounded like it was in some sort of special features area or something.
What I saw was between General Ross and Natasha.
