It may just be better than C-Priest, since a lot of reanimator strategies can go off turn 1/2 OTP.
one mana, doesn't require you to be in white, and is live as soon as it hits the board seems pretty decent to me. i guess time will tell if people want to devote slots to it over or in addition to other answers like surgical, faerie macabre and the five billion other graveyard hosers out there.
Is disppearing act played at all in real competitive modern? I assume not, but I just found out this card exists and it is hilarious with gearhulks.
B&R update day!

DRS and probe are out in legacy, aka time for me to start going to weeklies again. woo!
I haven't played magic in a few years since my youngest was born but man am I sad to see both those cards leave Legacy. My Delver deck in legacy was my favorite.
i honestly would've been OK with keeping probe in (even though i hate being on the receiving end) but DRS is just ridiculous. like 80% of the format recently is just variations on BUGx builds carried by DRS since it does everything and has no deckbuilding drawbacks. this will hopefully shake things up a bit and make more decks viable.
of course, i am first and foremost a reanimator player, so it's mainly selfish reasons as to why i'm happy for DRS getting the axe. but i think it'll be good for the format as a whole!
Time to sleeve up Nimble Mongoose again!
oh my god goblin lackey is a card again!
With pre release being this weekend is anyone hyped for it? I bought my first booster box and plan to crack it this weekend with the gf in either a home mini masters format or 3 pre release style decks. Is their anything in this set thats $$$?
I didn't even realize it was this weekend, so no.
negative hype here, id rather just draft dominaria for another 3 months.
And you can get pretty much everything else for $20 or less. Rare power level is kind of low.
Bolas will tank super fast of it doesn’t immediately find a Standard home.
MTGA now has M19.
Has a mandatory NPE tutorial that gives monocolored decks, then there's a series of quests that give new dual-color decks.
New game modes (free Bo3), hard timer'd wildcards in addition to random ones in packs, but still no real change in the shitty economy (and 5x cards are no longer greyed out, so instead of feels bad, you just don't even know).
New state of the beta: https://mtgarena.community.gl/forums/threads/30962
There will be a stress test on the 20th of this month. And in addition to their own wave of invites, on the 18th they'll be giving each beta player 5 access codes to give out, so if anyone needs/wants one, let me know.
There will be an event during the stress test, 12PM – 8PM PDT. Free Quick Constructed with card and pack rewards at high wins (which you won't get unless you have a top tier standard deck).
And a half price M19 Quick Draft, 2500 gold or 325 gems, 4/7 wins gets you 450 gems.
Just a PSA before you craft 3rd or 4th copies of stuff, the decks you get from (weekly?) quests have a few decent rares in them, namely they each seem to have 1x of the dual colored check lands. Not sure if there is a list of them anywhere.
If anyone has a beta invite to give out, holla at ya boi
i'd definitely take one too!
