tbh i hate it

it looks cool until you realize you need to crawl over all your stuff to go to bed. plus most people would already have all the stuff attached to it, just as separate furniture. the massage chair is about the only function it serves that is even a little unique.

You could easily fix that If one of the Sides could open out like a swinging door so you can you know, walk up to the edge of your bed and close it once you get in. Wouldn't even be hard to do, have a latch system near the foot of it with a single button detach, put little wheels/balls on the bottom so it rolls well on any surface, and a handle on the inside so once you lay down in bed you can "close" it.

Using those pictures as an example, you can put the hinges right infront of the Speakers (on the outside of course), and the Latch/Button just at the end of the lounger, you'd have to re-design that little curved piece so it can swing open but that wouldn't be difficult and it'd still work easy.

Might already be a feature in some of them so you can actually make your bed/replace your sheets without going fucking crazy.

I was not aware opening and closing a sliding section to climb in to bed was a lot of work but I hear ya. Its definitely not "Flop friendly".

Seems like it would be a decent space saver for smaller places, but if you have enough room don't see the need for it.

I saw this a long time ago and my conclusion was that it's awesome if you have a studio apartment, it's a novelty otherwise.
