Djoos, probably the Caps 3rd best Dman this year, is a healthy scratch tonight, for no reason. Trotz is digging his hole deeper and deeper, not sure why he has chosen Orpik as his line in the sand. Coaches who refuse to scratch someone, who is probably the WORST defender in the entire league atm, because "he's a good locker room presence" are just being stupid. Winning is a way better locker room presence.

Generally, I think group fanbase posters(on site slike reddit/hf) are idiots most of the time, especially since the Caps' fans both want Trotz fired and Holtby traded (cause omg it's all his fault the defense is shit in front of him) but it's getting harder and harder for me to see why I should defend Trotz. The DC media is starting to turn on Trotz as well, so it seems his days in DC are numbered unless they pull out some miracle playoff run. (this is his last year on contract as well)
