A thoroughly meh movie.

I enjoyed it decently enough but god dammit Cloverfield can you just be about the god damn monsters already.

The last few seconds were what I came for. Same with Cloverfield 2. They’re good movies in their own right but this isn’t what I fucking signed up for.

I love the cloververse but I did not like this movie. Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane were amazing movies but this 3rd entry wasn't on par. I feel like they need to continue with the original stories and not try to adapt something unrelated to the cloververse. This movie felt like some took a can of Diet Coke and made a wrapper on the outside that said Cloverfield.

Don't get me wrong, I followed the information about God Particle so I knew this is exactly how it would turn out but i'm not sure if I could really call this an actual entry into the Cloverfield series.

I hope this isn't the case since it seems like they're just doing random stories and just throwing in the Cloverfield monster cameos at the end to "tie it in" with the other movies.
