Lesnar official in UFC and now in the USADA testing pool... reading that him vs DC is official for January once his suspension is up.
I haven’t been following the heavyweights for a while, so I looked up the UFC ranking... from the business standpoint I can see why he’s being given the bump. The only guys with win streaks to speak of seem to be low name value guys.
Volkov and Blaydes are on the up, a win for either of them among any top 5 guy would put them in for a title shot - but a card headlined by that fight would sell 200-300k most likely - the Lesnar card will do an easy 1mill, maybe even north of 1.5mill buys.
He's also a former champ with 2 defences so it's not like he's a random guy getting a shot.
Makes sense to get the Brock fight done in January as soon as he's eligible by USADA, to minimise the risk of him popping again
Lesnar is a cheater and a loser who hasn't won a fight since 2010. he'll sell tickets and he appeals to the WWE crowd that crosses over into MMA but in the history of titles shots his may be the least deserving. latest example of the UFC shitting on itself chasing short-term money. business was always a concern but baddest man on the planet seems a distant fucking secondary concern in its matchmaking now. dunno if it's Joe Silva leaving or WME-IMG acquiring or the UFC failing to grow new stars following Ronda/Conor losing their minds but the quality of this sport is suffering. too many events, too many money fights, too many interim belts.
The term “super fight” has been so watered down. During the height of MMA for me, Silva vs GSP was the only fight I would consider a super fight. Two champions who absolutely dominated and cleaned out their divisions.
Now whenever someone wins the strap they’re immediately chasing money fights rather than just defending it against a legitimate contender. The meritocracy of the sport just isn’t there anymore like it used to be.
Mighty Mouse on the cover of the latest game... still not headlining their PPV. Nuh said?

The whole concept of that seems like something for a sitcom or an episode of Punk'd or something. It goes from, "Oh, that's nice" to "What the fuck do you do with this?"/being creeped out when finally seeing the thing.
RIP Shogun
Not sure I've seen someone knocked out while stood up, it was the punch after that sent him to the floor.
Surely it's retirement time.
Yoel vs Paulo Costa at UFC 230 lol.
The two most ( allegedly ) roided out guys in the UFC going at it, lets hope it's a pride-esque classic.
Fan fuckin tastic!!
