Binotto supposedly gone, but Ferrari is denying it on Twitter.
Mannn I did not expectSpoiler: show
I'm ready for what comes after Checo. He's just so mid in the car. Consistently mid and I'd rather they take the shot looking for faster mates for Max.

Between his own teammate, Alpha Tauri, and guys like Alonzo always letting him through, maybe he just doesn't understand the concept

DR3 signed to be the reserve driver.
Logan Sargeant got enough points for his SL to become the next driver for Williams.
Nico Hülkenberg replaces Mick for the 2nd Haas seat.
Testing done. F1 2022 season is a warp.
On the 2023 calendar, rumblings that China will be cancelled again because of the country's Covid Zero policy possibly locking down personnel for multiple days. If cancelled, there will be no replacement race leading to a 4 week gap between Melbourne and Baku.
Omfg if China fucks this it'll be like an almost month long Spring break at the beginning of April, followed by a month long break at the end of July. Give me my fix damnit lol

idk about you but I may end up going to the Long Beach GP for 2023 (Yea I'm local so that saves on expenditures) so I got that weekend to give me my racing fix.
Also other important dates since this thread is going to die for the winter.
Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona - Jan 28-29. The LMDh makes its official debut in IMSA
Nascar returns to the LA Coliseum on Feb 5th for the Clash
Formula 1 opens its season in Bahrain March 5th.
IndyCar kicks off at St. Petes on March 5th (Then a 4 week break to Texas)
WEC returns to Sebring after a 2 year pandemic hiatus for the Sebring super weekend March 17 and 18. WEC will run its 1000 Miles of Sebring on the 17th followed by IMSA's 12 Hours of Sebring on the 18th.
Few bits of news.
China GP cancelled. F1 is evaluating a replacement race after Baku refused to budge on changing its race date.
3-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick signs on for a full season in Indy NXT (formerly Indy Lights) with Andretti Autosport. Also got an individual sponsorship from DHL who vanished after Grosjean took over RHR's seat in Indycar.
Alex Palou named as a reserve driver for McLaren Formula 1 Team. He will be available as a reserve driver for races that do not conflict with Indycar race weekends.
I like all this.
This is all fine. I was looking forward to seeing the chinese track again, but alas

Now missing only BMW. So far they are keeping their distance though.
Another 24 Hours of Daytona in the books.
Meyer Shank Acura takes it for the 2nd year in a row.
Porsche = pain. Mechanical issues took out the GTP entries. Then their GTD entries got BoPed out of their pace.
BMW's GTP entry got thrown out of contention very early with an electrical problem.
LMP2 came down to a gap of 0.016 seconds with Proton Competition edging out the Crowdstrike Racing machine. - https://twitter.com/MotorsportsNBC/s...69263694254080
A lesson on where to place your water bottle. The #8 LMP2 entry that IndyCar drivers Scotty Mac and Josef Newgarden were driving got tossed out of contention in the opening hours. Their water bottle leaked on the ECU unit. Oops.
Finally - Praise Gaben. The #27 Heart of Racing Team wins GTD. Gabe is a co-owner of the team. The #23 Heart of Racing Team GTD Pro was leading its class until mechanical issues in the closing hours took it out finishing 13 laps back from the winners.
