2nd anniversary event announced. Straw hat with sunglasses Pikachus to appear. Ninantic is also gating Pikachu-avatar items unless you have a gold Pikachu badge. I've never even seen 50 pika's in this game so far, let alone the 300 needed for that badge..

I've caught... 38 pikachu thanks to the other pikachu hat events. I used to keep a copy of every different pikachu and Raichu but then stopped giving a shit. I'll need to catch a few more for Aloan Raichu though.

Apparently you can get evolution items as gifts.

Also, do the gym attack bonuses stack for every single friend you have up to that point or is it just a one time only seal thing?

Only your highest bonus works, they don't stack. (ie if you battle with 4 Great Friends, you only get the damage/ball bonus from one of them, not all four).

Articuno Day today. Between 2 & 5 PM ET, spin a pokestop to get 5 raid passes, also, Shiny (Chance) Articuno raid battles for all tier 5.

5 bonus passes appear to not be working for NA.

Silph road explained it better than Niantic did. It's 5 single-use raid passes that don't stack and you can only hold 1 at a time.

So I still need a few Aloan pokemon from yellow eggs, bit after I do manage to, I hope they'll add in either and option to disable getting eggs from gifts or after a time add in the ability to get normal eggs from gifts as well.


And how do you guys handle your caught pokemon? Catch them then transfer them into candies unless you're going to use em to exp grind/evolve? I try to keep at least 1 of every pokemon with the exception of sex differences and all those God damn pikachu editions.

I was thinking about it for the international ones. They're the only ones I'm missing from original pokedex aside from mew/mewtwo.

So I'm assuming theres some kind of event going on with plusle and Minun since there's a lot of them, but is there a gen 3 starter thing going on as well? I've only been at home really for the last day but I've gone from very very very rarely seeing a treeko to catching ten of them, 6 torchic, and 4 mudkip all from my apartment in the last 24 hours.

Treeko i already see fucktillions of just like Bulbasaur and Chikorita, but I have been seeing much more Mudkips and Torchicks too.

Shiny Plusle and Minun out too. Plusle is basically just... slightly different red, Minun i believe is Green, both for ears i mean.
