Yeah Fandango does this shit not too infrequently. Like last I remember was how to train your dragon. Funny thing is at least theaters here you can't even find the movie listed unless you go thru them so you might not even know
Does Imax do enough for the movie to make the extra price worth it?
For shazam? No. Go see this movie for as cheap as you can. It was good but not $20 a ticket great.

They missed a pretty perfect moment in the movie to actually sneak in the "Captain Marvel" name, the cowards. Why go with "Captain Sparklefingers" while the movie still throws out Marvel-adjacent terms like Captain ZapMerica or something like that?...
Considering the baggage that comes from being based on Geoff Johns' "Curse of Shazam", still a fun take, and has some fun with its integration in the DC universe.

Saw this just now, loved it. Was absolutely hilarious!!
No idea wtf Loona trying to say but yeah this was amazing and the funny plays on other hero's names early on was great. The beginning credits stuff was hilarious kind of reminded me of the teen titians in the completely unserious just fun nature of it. Kind of amazed at how the put together a full group of child actors that didn't suck... and how they managed to make a diverse group of super hero's without telling us we should watch it because of that.
Also for the above the Godzilla trailer before the movie was great.
More or less, Captain Marvel was Shazam's original name. Went out of publishing for a bit, then Marvel took the name and registered it. So when DC brought him back they couldn't use that name anymore. Personally I agree with Loona, that they could've thrown it in there when they were manking up names just as an homage. Hell CW arrowverse used 2 spiderman references on back to back nights recently.
I feel like they wouldn't want to throw in the name because it'd basically be promoting a movie thats released by their rivals and is still in theaters.
Saw it, it's good.
Comparatively to other DC films, it's Oscar worthy.
I liked it, and I liked the cameo at the end.
It pretty much had the same plot as Homecoming.
I will say the one thing I liked that you don't see much in other super hero movies.
Spoiler: show
Amazing film.
Saw it tonight. Really enjoyable! It does right what all the Snyder Superman movies and Nolan's Batman and the early attempts at comic book movies did wrong, which is to say I don't want to see your shitty "take" on a character, I want you to take this comic book and put it on screen. Can't wait for Mister Mind and maybe the Monster Society.
