Like, who cares anymore? There is no cohesion in this universe. I feel like DC is just making movies to make them now (which is fine if that's what they want).
I was about to say. Movies don't have to have shared universes. I'd say the only people who've pulled off a successful shared universe is marvel and the less people we have trying, the more good movies we'll actually get. The slightly confusing thing about this movie is how many times Dwayne Johnson references being a super hero when talking about this movie.
The Man in Black ⚡️
Like most kids growing up, I dreamed about being a superhero. Having cool superpowers, fighting for what’s right and always protecting the people.
It all changed for me, when I was 10yrs old and was first introduced to the greatest superhero of all time - SUPERMAN.
As a kid, Superman was the hero I always wanted to be.
But, a few years into my fantasy, I realized that Superman was the hero, I could never be.
I was too rebellious. Too rambunctious. Too resistant to convention and authority.
Despite my troubles, I was still a good kid with a good heart - I just liked to do things my way.
Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a kid - my superhero dreams have come true.
I’m honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it’s a true pleasure to become, BLACK ADAM.
BLACK ADAM is blessed by magic with the powers equal to SUPERMAN, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line.
He’s a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people - but he does it his way.
Truth and justice - the BLACK ADAM way.
This role is unlike any other I’ve ever played in my career and I’m grateful to the bone we’ll all go on this journey together.
BLACK ADAM

Yea, honestly I'd just prefer good DC movies at this point. If they pulled off a shared universe (they won't, not with this group anymore) that'd be great but I think it'd just be good to have heroes outside of Batman and Superman for a change.

The fact DCEU is still a thing shows you they haven’t learned anything.
I was gonna say it, but I'm glad someone else did.

One surprise announcement during DC Fandome’s “Black Adam” panel was that the Justice Society of America will be introduced in the film. Dwayne Johnson, who is playing the titular Black Adam, was joined by his co-star Noah Centineo, who plays Adam’s foe Atom Smasher, to make the announcement.
In an animated tease, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone and Atom Smasher were announced as the JSA members that will be introduced.
“I have a knack for destroying bullies, but there are some that think I need help,” Johnson narrated as Black Adam. “Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and their new recruits: Cyclone and Atom Smasher. They call themselves the Justice Society, an organization that fights for truth and justice, but the only justice is my justice. Welcome to truth, justice, and Black Adam.”

“Black Adam” (previously set for Dec. 22, 2021) has been taken off the release calendar entirely.
Marvel is like the New England Patriots of the past 20 years, while DC is like the Cleveland Browns of the last 20 years.
The same 20 year span that Tom Brady was there...
