The second series was sort of like a sequel to the first. New cast and set a few years later with a bunch of old faces making appearances.

Other then the gunpla theme, this new show seems to be its own standalone thing which I don’t mind so far. That being said this anime season has been thin and weak as fuck compared to how spoiled we’ve been over the last few seasons of anime so that might also be why I look forward to this every week

So I just remembered that Gundam: Age was a thing. That show was so goddamn forgettable that when people were discussing Gundam series on the last page, I totally forgot it existed.

I got to episode 8 but I can't stand any of the main characters - they're rehashes of the usual tropes and bore me to no end. Especially the "mysterious girl"...

Jumped back on Iron Blooded Orphans and - oh boy - it's sooo good.

Compared to the first series it's sorely lacking, but you don't watch this for interesting plot or characters, it's purely fan service. Even the first series had lame tropes, but it worked in a way.

I'm a fan of 00 Gundam so there's at least that.

Yeah I watch this every week not expecting to be blown away or drawn in with interesting characters or story or etc, but because gundam design fan-service and there's also nothing else to watch on Tuesdays

I was really hoping this would be this show's take on build strike vs zaku amazing. I worry these build series will never hit that bar again.

They really forced the melodrama in this episode. It was hard not straining my eyes considering how much they were rolling.

What are you talking about? Who among us can truly say that they didn't launch a secret campaign to corrupt and bring down FF14?

Honestly, I know what I'm getting into watching these series'. But the drama in the last couple series were... well, more justified to how severe their situations were. But this episode, goddamn lol. Just have a hard time taking it seriously.

People freaking out that they're getting shot down and blah blah, and the entire time it's just like "take off the damn visor you're wearing. You're perfectly fine. If the game world crashes they'll just reboot the fucking thing, I'm sure they have back-ups and etc, etc, jesus".

I feel like they're implying some weird space shit with Sarah, but generally the way it's unfolded is cringey and doesn't have an ounce of fun like the first series did with its weirdness.

I actually kinda liked the bad guy's motives more, but it fizzled out because VR.
