Pretty comfy 3 day event so far. Blindfold Castlevania and Dark Souls 3 was pretty cool to see done.

No drama. No grandstanding. No controversy. Just people playing games in a fast manner with good commentary and explanation.

Blind Castlevania run was 25 mins over their 1 hour estimate. Not exactly the best run there. He needed to practice that some more before doing it at GDQ.

I didn't even know the SM/LttP combo was a thing. Does that exist as a ROM or was it dome specifically for GDQ?

I'd honestly prefer these 3-4 day events once a quarter than I would the week long events twice a year.

SM/LttP randomizer is a ROM hack. There are weekly races of the LttP, SM, or LttP/SM randomizer.

This is strange, the same guy did this run before for 1 hour odd and he only over ran because of a controller issue. I think it was 2 years ago. He should have no problems with this exact same run at all. I wonder what's changed.

There was one trick (that I saw) that was giving him fits that day and a couple other tricks that took a few times, but I'm not sure how close the estimate was supposed to be. I missed a bit at the start because I think that day they were running late, made up some time, and it started earlier than I expected. There was an inventory mistake too, but I'm not sure if that really caused problems.

Yeah, he just messed up some tricks pretty hardcore and then had an inventory boss issue. Aside fromthat the run was pretty smooth. He's typically pretty good about things. Still fun to watch.
