The most dipshitty person to ever dipshit, ladies and gentlemen.
Pay Twitter money to maybe earn some money (to pay off that blue check mark) but also piss off everyone in the process - https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1621544996167122944
He also wants to charge $100/month for API access because “bots are bad”. If this goes thru my two twitter bots are going to have to be retired. They aren’t bad bots either…one simply tweets when rides at Disneyland breaks down and comes back up along with posting boarding groups for Runaway Railway, and I have another bot that tweets when reservation days open up for Disneyland.
Jesus some of the gymnastics these replies show is mind boggling.
IT'S JUST $8 A MONTH PLUS THE OTHER $100 AND THINK OF THE FEATURES YOU GET
No. Dude is trying to grift from Twitter. Stop candy coating it.
Another side effect to the Twitter API change is that any service that allows you to connect to them using your Twitter account would be on the hook.

When he talked about charging for the blue checkmark, everyone said that would mean the death of twitter... it is still going strong and people are paying.
Not enough people are paying. I keep seeing people that paid for it say they did it for the benefits and I don't see how a paid checkmark next to your name is a boon.
The API shit is going to wreck one of the gacha games I play. Finding raids is going to be a pain in the ass but it might make the JP playerbase bitch enough that the devs fix their ingame raidfinder.
When they talked about charging more for insulin, everyone said that would mean the death of patients... it is still going strong and people are paying.
Death is a process that starts with dying and ends with nothingness. What differs is the length of time it takes to get there. People do great until they decompensate and go into rapid decline.
O trust me, I would love to watch it burn, but most people I see bitching about shit are all talk.
Anything that offers "post/share to Twitter" would also be affected.
Looks like the users who paid for Twitter Blue checkmark in the US was around 0.2% of monthly users here in America after Musk introduced the paid verification service...

What the hell is this shit? New Elon features?
10 seconds of Google-Fu pops up results of a 2,400 tweets in 24 hr limit and 30 minute limit of unknown amount of tweets dating back to 2019, so its not "new Elon features".
